God app - men hvorfor er der er ikke nogen pind 7 at sætte ind i værktøjer??
This app is awesome. I’m a lousy counter, but that problem is now solved as Yarn Buddy has easy-to-use customizable counters and it lets me have heaps of them. I enjoy having patterns and projects notes all in one place, and it’s easy to add new information when needed. The app is quite versatile, I’ve even added a quilt and a sourdough as new projects along with all the knitting stuff, it works just fine. I would like to be able to add photos to a note, which does not seem to be supported for the time being, but there’s a workaround as I can add them to the project pictures (which crops in unexpected ways though). But all things considered, this app is a great help and I find myself taking on more challenging projects now Yarn Buddy’s got my back.
I love this app! I use it for all my knitting projects. Unfortunately, when I upgraded my Apple Watch to the series 10 it stopped syncing between my watch and phone and now won't work on my watch. I've emailed the developer but have not gotten a response. I've got the most current version but cannot seem to get it to work on my watch, which is very disappointing.
I was so excited when I found Yarn Buddy. It worked so great with my iPhone and Apple Watch. Unfortunately it no longer works on my watch. Not sure what happened but it no longer works. I’m very disappointed.
Since the OS 11.2 update, the watch counter is frozen and I can’t find anyone to contact for support. Please help!
There's so many features and my favorite thing about this app is how you can customize the yarn stash down to the lot # & how to care for it. This is so amazing! I tried Ravelry and I love Yarn Buddy more, it's suits my preferences and checks all the boxes of standards I have for an app! There's other features as well but I mainly use the Yarn Stash one!
I’m not one to write reviews, but given that this is a small developer I really wanted to show my support! I actually purchased the app. It is a one time purchase of $44 or a monthly subscription of $14.99 but even without buying the app I it is completely worth it( I probably used it for a year or more before deciding to fully commit and support). I just have started to really get into my knitting and crocheting and I’m possibly going to start sewing again so I wanted the unlimited projects and the notes because I’m really forgetful, but when I tell you, this app is a lifesaver, I mean it. I have gone through and downloaded probably around 10 or more different (I’m being generous to myself cause it’s born way more) yarn apps and I always make my way back to this one so for an early Christmas gift I decided to buy myself the app and it just is a stand out and I believe that when more people start using it some of the features such as the barcode scan in order to input yarn in the database will be even better. I am notoriously bad for missing increases and so the alert button has been the best and since they fixed lot of what was going on with the Apple Watch, I use it so often because I definitely crochet on the go so being able to just tap my watch has been awesome. Everything from the color coating to the ability to link certain rows, to the yarn stash, the tools section that has things such as unit conversion and common abbreviations, the complex yet simple set up (which I have to get better at in putting my yarn in) has taken my crocheting journey in such a better direction and I really hope that the developer keeps working on and bettering this app because I believe it’s worthwhile.
This app is exactly what I needed to solve my massive yarn stash problems. So simple but effective
There are so many helpful features of this app that I never even realized I would need. I love how you can add a pattern to a project and the app allows you to keep track of what row your on with a bar because I have a habit of missing rows. There’s even a feature to draw notes on the pattern, while haven’t used it that often because I use this app on my phone and it’s easier to use that feature on an iPad, it’s still incredibly useful when I do need it. I also appreciate the time tracking option because I need to keep track of how long some projects take for school so I don’t go under the required time. Plus it’s interesting to see how long it takes to crochet different things and I’ll probably end up making a graph of some sort to see what factors of a pattern take me less time. I like the yarn stash and how the app automatically calculates how much length of yarn you have left based on how much you’ve used on a project so you don’t have to calculate how many yards you have remaining based on how many ounces/grams the project used. There are a few issues where the app will crash when I add a hook that I’m using to a project and if I’m changing the name or color of a row counter it closes the edit option, thankfully without closing the entire app but it can be a bit frustrating to get the edit option to stay open. I’ve mainly noticed the row counter closing the editing/customization option if the project is especially big and requires many separate counters or those counters having to count many rows. For example I was using the counters to keep track of a granny square blanket I was making with a total of 225 squares and I was using separate counters to track the amount of each color I had, there were 15 counters not counting the “total rows” counter. While this bug can be frustrating it’s manageable and totally understandable considering the app is made by one person.
Love this app! I love everything about it, keeps everything right on my phone, so I always have my pattern right there with me. I love the way that it goes seamlessly to my watch and have my row count right there at a glance.
