Yoga Poses Study for Training

How I use the app: I’m currently undergoing training to be accredited as a yoga teacher and I find this app useful for learning and memorising asanas. Source of awareness: I found out about this app because I bought the physical cards from Workout Labs. Future update ideas: 1. Allow re-ordering of asana cards 2. Show modifications / alternative asanas 3. Show / link related asanas (maybe as a “also see”) 4. Strengthen keyword matching 5. Show alternative asana names (both English and Sanskrit alternatives) 6. Modify app to fit iPad

If you want it to be a pay to use app, why not make it a app you have to pay to get in the first place? I bought the physical cards and saw the ad for using the app to study thinking it’d be a way to learn on the go so I didn’t have to look at the cards all the time, but you have to pay to be able to study more than 12 cards. For the 12 I saw it was also just the names and not about how the poses work. I love that they teach you the Sanskrit, but I was hoping it’d be more usable. I’d be more understanding if only certain things were behind a paywall so you could still study the cards and learn, but you only get access to 12 cards. As it is, it’s a frustrating app and a cash grab.

After about 10 minutes of pressing “jump in” the main screen never changed And wouldn’t let me in the app. I shut down the app and tried again- same thing. Can’t even use the app.

Love it

This app gets stuck loading after any attempt to exit the start screen (‘Jump In!’ and ‘I already have an account’ have same result). Will change my review if corrected - would love to use this app.

Great app.

It’s helpful to have a mobile version of the cards. There are issues with logging in if you have more than one device. Search function could use some improvement along with creating custom flash cards for studying or creating sequences

Love the app for studying for teacher training. Only reason it gets four stars is that the audio for the pronunciations seems to cut out the last syllable

This app is an amazing simple study app for yoga teacher trainees and new teachers. The WorkoutLabs Yoga cards (the tangible cards) are great, but the benefit of the app is that you can hear the Sanskrit pronunciation of the poses and create your own “stacks” of poses, abs you can study right from the device you carry around everywhere. The quiz function is also a super helpful interactive study tool. 10/10 recommend for new yoga teachers.
