It it very very bad system
Duel links is no longer fun, because 90% of the games are decided on the first turn. Most of the games, each player gets to play 1 turn before the game is over because either one deck is allowed to set up an unwinnable situation, or one deck is allowed to remove cards from the field. So whoever goes first, basically instantly looses regardless of the deck, because the opponent gets to draw a card, along with either removing all the cards on the field, or setting up an unwinnable situation. Because the person who goes first is forced to commit cards to the field in order to hopefully not instant loose, which happens anyways if they don't set up an unwinnable situation from 4 cards, and since every deck that is worth playing can summon near infinite monsters in a turn, going first is an instant loss. Even if you have 3 floods and a sphere as your starting hand, the opponent can special summon around flood, and special summon around sphere. So over half the games are unplayable, if you go first you loose. If you go second, you have to remove all cards from the field or you loose. There is no other strategy. So games are just win streaks followed by loose streaks. Because half the games you go first, and half the games you go second. The game is.... so ♥♥♥♥ing bad right now. I don't enjoy winning 4+ games in a row because I happened to go second 4 times. Then immediately loose 4-7 games because i go first. And there is no answer. Just build a deck that commits 100% to destroying cards, or controlling the field, and just hope you go firs/second depending on your deck. What a terrible meta. High volume of different decks, sure. Do they all do the same thing? Destroy all cards on the field, or control the field with banashing effects? huh 3 slots insisted of 5 as it is well know, cards that are sooooooooooo bad (xyz, synchro, links, pendulum) all these type of cards are not from the original series nor yu gi GX. All of them are garbage. All we know yu gi oh cards are the fun and the only cards that should be played
