Zen Pinball World

Enjoying the game! I wish there was a way to import purchases from other zen branded pinball games into this one. $30 for some of the “bundles” of tables, or $10 for a single table, for something I already own in other versions of the game is a bit steep. An option for gyroscopic nudge would be nice like in the Williams pinball app.

Guys! What happened between Zen Pinball Party and this??? Did you change the engine? I’m getting lag and freezes on both my iPhone 14 Pro and the latest iPad Pro, and I doesn’t look as popping and bright as your other games. Then, you guys added ads????? I literally thought I downloaded a low-level clone that stole your “Zen Pinball” name, it’s so bad. Why change something that defined excellence in the world of digital pinball games?

Game just sits on loading screen forever on my iPad

I can only assume that the developers don’t actually play Zen Pinball World themselves as the laggy, jittery, low frame rate performance would be enough to frustrate them to fix these issues. Zen tables from 9 years ago are far superior in playability and performance compared to ZPW. Why these new tables aren’t even close is baffling. My iPad Pro M4 probably isn’t the bottleneck here as the old Zen tables play as flawlessly as they did on my iPad Air in 2016. Using 15% of the screen real estate at the top, as opposed to allowing a full-size table view, was a terrible choice making it even less playable on my iPhone than previous Zen releases. Zen, if you’re listening, Bethesda Doom/Fallout/Skyrim is the target model you should be using when creating new games. Prior to ZPW, you guys were dominating the market with fantastic tables that performed at the top of their game. The only positive about ZPW is that it works with external controllers, but when the games aren’t fun to play, what’s the point?

Pros: Really love the additional tables and added play modes. Menu interface is easy to understand, fun challenges to try and complete. Definitely a nice addition to the Williams Classics app. Cons: -App crashes when loading frequently. Will not pause gameplay when screen lock occurs (either due to iOS time limit warning or eye strain distance alert), which Williams Classics would do. -Frequently have an issue with the iOS app switcher activating during gameplay. If the screen is tapped with minor directional friction during gameplay, app will minimize into app switcher mode, interrupting gameplay. Game will not auto-pause when this occurs either, resulting in frequent unexpected drains. App will crash sometimes if app switcher is activated too much in a short period of time. Would appreciate some method to decrease sensitivity when tapping. -WHY DID ZEN REMOVE SHAKE TO NUDGE?? Really miss being able to use accelerometer in phone to nudge tables. Very challenging to nudge when trying to avoid app switcher function.

I love the design. I love the functionality. And I absolutely love the collection of pinball machines. But, this app gets a 2 star for now until they fix a critical bug. I paid money for some pinball machines so I could download them and play them offline as advertised. To my surprise, the app itself won’t even open when you’re offline. So technically if you’re on line first and open then app, then you go offline, you can play them offline. But in what situation would that ever happen? I bought the tables so I could open up the app on the plane and play, but since it requires internet connection to even open the app, I’m stuck. Please fix this bug as you’re basically false advertising.

The games seem fun, but it is crashing a lot in mid-game. Also sometimes it gets into a state where the sound is weirdly fragmented, and I have to kill it and restart.
