Zentangle Mosaic

I read about the free app, but it offers very little without a subscription. You can get more information via Google and Pintrest than with this free app.

Great app for Zentangle enthusiasts of any level. I didn’t care for it when it first came out, but it’s grown—or maybe I have? It’s like an Instagram for tanglers. It’s best if you have a subscription, but there are no ads, and there are some step-outs and other perks. It’s fine on my iPad now, too. I like that there is art from tanglers all over the world—so much talent and positive encouragement. You’re likely to see tanglers you “know”. Inspirational! (I’d take off a half star if possible because some tangles seem to appear in the Waterfall unusually often.) Previous: Since it is image intense, I don't think I'll use this on my iPhone. Every Zentangle is so tiny--about 2"x2" and "enlarging" with the paid version would only show part of the images. It downloaded to my iPad but it doesn't scale so every line is jagged and it doesn't change orientation. It acts like an old, outdated app. Also, the antique paper look makes the phone appear to need cleaning. I'm not inclined to pay for the pricey upgrade as it is. Good idea, otherwise.

Unless I missed it, there’s nothing you can do with this app unless you subscribe. So unless you are subscribing there’s no reason to download the app!

If you want tangle stepouts, this isn’t the app for you. There are several other apps with way more tangles. Tons of YouTube videos. Etc. And let’s be honest. If you think $25 a year is steep, you’re not serious about Zentangle, because you are going to be spending that much a month on good tiles and pens. The only reason you would want to get this app is 1) if you have fallen in love with the Zentangle Method 2)want to be part of a community of other tanglers around the world 3)want to share your work with others and get feedback and encouragement from CZTs (certified zentangle teachers) and Zentangle luminaries like Maria and Molly. There are more reasons it’s worth $25 a year, but you get the idea. If you are serious about Zentangle, the $25 a year you’ll spend for this app will pay dividends and make your zentangle practice more rewarding and fun.

I very much enjoy this app! I’m wondering if it is possible to give a gift subscription to someone?

Unless you want to spend $25.00 to have access to 25 Tangles You are only going to see tiny tangled squares rotate automatically so quickly you miss most of them. What I don’t get is why anyone would pay to see “their official Tangles”, but when you upload any you drew they don’t have to pay you? As a matter of fact if you upload your work you are giving the the right to copy it, use it and keep it! No thanks just to shady for me.

I can see the KTT videos but there is no sound with them. I like the rest of the app fine but I agree it’s expensive for what you are getting.

This is my favorite app on my phone! The subscription is way more than worth the price. I get to see many different drawings of tangles I’m struggling with, then can message the artists to find out how they made this or what tips they have for that. Uploading pictures of my tiles is easy and so worth the feedback from other tanglers. If I could fix anything, I’d like the #’s & @‘s to read more easily. The light blue type on a tan background doesn’t work well together with my eyes. I’d rather see a black type/underlined link any day. Favorite app, but would like an easier time reading... oh, & typing comments would be so much greater if I could read more than 2-3 tiny lines at once. Keep up the great work, Zentangle, Inc. I’m CZT bound... someday soon I hope!

While I feel that the subscription price is a bit high, I really am loving this app! Sooo much inspiration! One small change, though. The Waterfall Square and the Back Arrow at the top are too close together. I've hit the Waterfall too many time when I've been trying to hit the Back Arrow. This has been rather frustrating, especially if I've been doing a search for something specific, looked at a tile, and then tried to go back to my search. And speaking of searches, would you, please, either move the search button up or add one after the keyword/hashtag line? This would make things easier when searching while only using a keyword/hashtag.

The subscription price is WAY too expensive. I would definitely subscribe if it was $0.99/month.
