This app has great potential for enabling users to create beautiful pre-programmed time lapses, but why can’t we just input our time lapse/projectory photography settings and let it do its thing without having to leave the app open on our phones? You’d think the app and gimbal would be smart enough to memorise a couple of programmed positions and wouldn’t need to be connected to the app the whole time, but instead you can’t even turn your phone off while shooting time lapses that are hours long. Very disappointed that there’s no idle time lapse feature that would allow us to use our phones for other things while the gimbal fulfills the time lapse.

This app works with my Smooth Q2, kinda sorta. However, forcing us to record via Zhiyun to gain a few extra features that are hardly ever needed is not only power hungry, but also baulky and cumbersome. Using the Smooth Q2 with the iPhone’s own camera app is an intuitive delight, especially when compared with the other gymbals I have owned.

It keeps going limp midway though recording. Heaps of other uses have this problem and have not been able to fix it.

The hardware this app controls is not cheap. I have used play with webill (one), webill-s and transmission system. With some caveats the gimbals and transmission systems all work absolutely fine until you want to use a feature that involves this app, then pretty much it is a horrible buggy experience that puts one off using this in any meaningful shoot. I am hopeful of improvement. There has been progress on the hardware front. My experience of the new “s” series builds has shown improvement. However within the ecosystem the performance and integration of this app feels much like using a really bad toy. From reading the reviews here Smooth users rate this app highly. Webill and crane users predominantly give the app one star.

Trying to use this with Zhiyun Crane M2. Will not connect over Bluetooth. Instructions and UX design are poorly implemented and localisation is awful. Support material is confusing.

App wont even start with the new update, cant use the gymble without it.... terrible

Not long had the Weebil S, great bit of gear but it’s not showing up on the app? No idea or clear explanation on how to connect?

Was intending to buy a Crane M2 today but luckily read these reviews. Crane M2 can only be used with ZY App stabilising an iPhone. If the apps terrible, with no alternative app, the M2 won’t work. I won’t be buying the product. Looking elsewhere.
