Sentinel Authenticator ⊽ 2FA

I like the simplicity of the app, it fits my usage. Unlike other apps that have way too many features. It's worth the few bucks for the paid version...

I have experience with a couple different 2FA applications. Most notably LastPass Authenticator, DUO (for work), Google and even Authy. Obsidian offers a couple things most off these apps lack, and that's syncing between devices. Now, Authy tends to do the same thing but stores your 2FA's on their servers which I do have security concerns about. Obsidian does this trough the iCloud Keychain so it will even work when you're not logged in. I encountered some problems with the syncing at first but got great help once I emailed the developer. Once everything ran smoothly, I was able to just enjoy the clean design of the application. The dark mode that comes with the free version looks so minimal and offers a way better feel than all other Authenticators out there! I would recommend this app to anyone who loves well thought out apps, security and is looking for an authenticator that syncs between your Mac and your iPhone without you worrying about it.

Although I like the app, particularly the synchronization among devices and the clean overview of OTP codes, it is easy to extract the secrets for the different codes from the app (and to copy them over to another app/device). Perhaps the security of the app could be improved by forcing an authentication when editing an accounts.. Apart from that, very neat app, well done!

Absolutely love this app. I have been using it on my phone, laptop and desktop and has been working flawlessly ever since I started using it. If you care about security and ease of use: go get this app. It just works.

Went from Tofu to Obsidian! I was happy with Tofu but it had no syncing between devices. Obsidian does this securely with keychain! Interface is easy to use. Happy with my transition! Also icons are quickly added to its looks good too!

Added a new 2FA and all the others are gone. On all my devices. Great.

Nothing but good things about this app on iOS and MacOS. The dev responded to an issue within hours and rolls out updates frequently. Happy to have paid to support this great app
