AAKRI is a futuristic environmentally friendly Start-up aimed to address the waste/trash issue concerning the people of Kerala and the environment as a whole.
It is a single go-to-point for disposal of every kind of waste that the common man needs to dispose of today. This initiative was conceptualized in 2018, and the idea is very simple “To protect our landfills from plastic and recycle maximum for the environment". Since 2019, our team has been providing all-day scrap/junk pickup service in Kochi and throughout Kerala, offering our services to all residential and commercial customers. You call us, we’ll come to pick up your scrap—it’s as simple as that.
The aim of the platform is to help find and map assets that streamline the collection of post-consumer waste, schedule efficient and cost-effective waste, schedule efficient and cost-effective pickups, and incorporate the segregated waste into the recycling/vendor network. In its current model, The AAKRI pays the customer for the scrap it purchases, based on the weight of the material. It then segregates the materials according to the grade, or in level-wise segregation, and provides the scrap to different recycling industries, depending on the material.
Our team will purchase anything which can be recycled. Over the years, it has expanded its network, and shifted strategies and our flexibility is the secret of the growth story of our waste management start-up.
Residential/Office or Corporate houses wishing to sell the scrap/trash can schedule the pick up through AAKRI App or can raise a pickup from www.aakri.in website or by also connecting with AAKRI Toll-Free number (1800-890-5089) and request for the pickup of recyclable waste.
Once the request is raised, the team will confirm the pickup and reach the destination address at the mentioned time, evaluate and weigh the trash, and load it into the truck, after paying the promised amount to the customer.
We then segregate the waste into recyclable and non-recyclable materials and Team connects the scrap network and allocates it to various recycling industries.

Very bad service
Their service pathetically bad. What they collect is just biomedical waste. They’ve lot of options in their app. But none of them works except biomedical waste. I had booked for solid waste ( used furniture) through their customer care personnel. I asked them, why it’s not possible to book through their app? The customer care personnel said, any sort of booking is through biomedical waste option and customer care lady herself arranged for pickup. Today morning when that pickup person came , he was laughing at me.. I felt their behavioural arrogance disgusting… Any startup companies would survive purely on customer satisfaction. Understand that.. Dr. Joshie.

Address doesn’t work
App doesn’t work —————————- In iPhone when I add a new address it shows Kalamassery municipality and there is no option to choose the correct municipality. Horrible Support ———————— I booked waste pick up and waited for a whole day. There is no way to track if it was going to get picked up. I called them in the morning and was assured that pickup would be done. still no pick up was done. Tried calling the number but nobody is picking up. Would really ask for a constant support or at least real time tracking to get a early feedback
Bad service
My mother is having severe arthritis and she is with a 6months old baby from morning 8 to 3 in the afternoon.so she is having mobility issues.Even after describing the condition of person present in the flat, they were not ready to come to door step to collect the waste.when informed to collect after 3 in the afternoon that is also not possible..they are preaching about rules..no rules is above humanity.

Very bad experience.I booked for September 5th,they postponed to 7th.Then again postponed to 8th.Still they didn’t come or inform me.Tried calling their customer service number twice.Whenever I connected them,they schedule me another date,but still no use.No punctuality.Even if I posted this review,an automated message will be given .Will not recommend to anyone.Very pathetic service.
Very irresponsible
Didnt come for pickup on the scheduled date even after reassuring they would come..I waited a whole day taking leave !!Very irresponsible!!Atleast have the manner to not lie or inform if not able to pickup on the scheduled date!
