I used to LOVE Aaptiv but licensing restrictions are killing the experience of the app. When listening to my own music (I use Youtube Music) it is very hard to hear the workout and the in-app volume control does not work effectively. I also can’t download most workouts to my Apple Watch, even when I want to use my own music. It’s disappointing, particularly because the outdoor running workouts and yoga workouts are so good.

This app used to be janky and really unresponsive - now, it’s much better you can download things and actually rely on them - you can download with voice only to have your own music offline too and video guides load more than they did - this quite a lot of a variety to use in the gym or at home and it’s not perfect but I think the last two months since I went back to it are night and day with how it was earlier in the year - I’d say it was worth the one year premium

I signed up for free trial but had to use payment but now I can’t cancel my free trial as I have changed my mind, I’ve tried everything. Why do you make cancelling a subscription so difficult to cancel, as soon as I’ve cancelled I will be deleting and won’t be downloading again as I feel I have been ripped off

I have loved Aaptiv for years but now getting back into exercise in my second trimester (having been unable to workout in the first) I am finding it all a bit demoralising. Had to pause the first workout halfway through and then in the second, a treadmill workout, the expectation is to run 4 miles (6.6km) in 26 mins?! Sorry whut?!

I’ve been unable to login for some time. Account management seems to have a lot of bugs.

I didn’t mind this app and used it when traveling. When I tried to cancel my subscription it re directed me to links that didn’t work until they could take more money from me. Do not recommend because of that.

I previously left a two star review saying that you couldn’t listen to your own music but due to an update you can, so I’m giving 5 stars.

Really not that impressed by Aaptiv! I downloaded it in early December as I’m away with work and don’t have access to my PT and where I am is a little unsafe to run outside. I thought that this app would be just the thing I needed to fill the void during my 4 months abroad. With treadmill / static bike and S&C classes. I’ve now used the app for a month and have to say it really just falls short! The video cues don’t always load. When they do they don’t necessarily show what the instructor is trying to motivate you to do. I spend a lot of my time listening out for the variation that they’re trying to explain and find I often don’t “get it”. For reference, I’m an ultra distance runner and S&C is really important to me and having the option of many varied classes really helps in that regard. Unfortunately, for me and given the lack of correctly coresponding visual cues I will no longer be using this app. Wasted a year’s subscription to discover this but that’s okay. I’ve now started to use the Peloton app and for me this offers what I need with video instructors showing exactly what they need you to do both before and during. Plenty of outdoor and indoor sessions as well as strength etc and you don’t need to own a Peloton piece of kit to use it! My advice for all apps like these is take the chances with their free introductory offers and jump around until you find what works for you. Aaptiv falls short for me but it may be ideal for you!

I've been a member 3 years and used to love it especially the running support tracks. Now the curated are nearly non existent! I used to love the way the trainers would say for example 'at the drop pick up your speed' I no longer even recognise any of the tracks! I don't want to put my own music to it. I paid to be able to use your music! Also there are so few video classes. I find I now use YouTube instead of Aaptiv. Plus on the diary on my 'strength training days' it's ALWAYS kettlebells. I don't have a kettle bell! Very disappointed how this is going downhill 😟

You can download the program but I won’t download music.. if your offline then you get the program but nothing to play against it and if you try your own music etc it turns off program
