AARP SafeTrip™

Was a passenger on a neighbors car whio drives fast and brakes hard and late that was for three trips took my score from 99 to 94.

I don’t really know what this APP does or if it is useful, as it will not let me past the login screen. The screen asks me to review all the terms and then press the confirmation button when it turns red. After 3 hours the button has not turned red. There are links to other sites … but none of these cause the button to turn red. I really don’t know what this APP does, but I hope the designers did not spend much money building it as it is totally non-functional. Great thing to have … if you want to stare at a screen. I’m offloading it to make room for apps that actually work.

Can’t get the app to open once I downloaded it. Keeps saying error

I don't like this app because it demands access to too much of your personal information. They DON'T NEED MY PHONE NUMBER, MY LOCATION TO "ALWAYS BE ON", my face ID etc. WITH ALL OF THE HACKING OF VARIOUS WEBSITES WHO BELIEVES THAT AARP IS REALLY GOING TO SECURE OUR INFORMATION??? Furthermore , data is revenue! Do you think AARP isn't selling information on us for ad revenue?????? My annual dues IS ENOUGH!

Using the app has been pretty eye-opening for me. It’s definitely made me more aware of how much I was using my phone while in the car. I’ve cut down considerably since I started using Safetrip.

I have been using this app to track safe driving and I am loving it. It gives me points based on safe drives and reminds me to not use my phone, break gently, and not to speed

I looked forward to using the AARP driving app but its evaluations always seemed suspect. No matter how much I attempted to change my habits—especially with cornering and acceleration—it continued to ding me. I finally got disgusted and deleted the app.

Speed limits in this app are not current they have almost all the roads I travel at 25 MPH all of them that I have been dinged for speeding are 45. I have tried customer service and they are no help if they can’t ‘verify’ so if the map databases haven’t been on a road since they built the road or had the limit at a different level it’s sorry and all they say is to lie and tell the app that I’m not the driver. This isn’t designed very well so I’m going to ignore it from now on

After I downloaded the application and log in I get an error about my browser had add blocker on it or it was set to not support cookies. I have both of there enabled to protect myself and my phone. Need to redesign your application, I don’t have issues with any other application complaining about them being enabled.

I have been using this app for over a year and have definitely improved my driving- the scores can prove it. I really like using my rewards points I earn to bid in high value gift cards. Great way to play along and improve my driving.
