Applied Ballistics Quantum™ is a state-of-the-art app integrating the most complete ballistics solver and profile management tool for long-range shooting. Featuring an all new user-interface, AB Quantum™ includes a host of new tools and features that will enable shooters and hunters to be more successful in the field.
AB Quantum™ creates a new paradigm for ballistic solvers and integration with Bluetooth®-enabled devices. With a host of new features, the platform is designed to save time and add performance for users of all skill levels.
The all new user-interface is designed with single-handed use in mind, putting all major features just a swipe or tap away from any screen, which allows users to rapidly obtain solutions in the field or at a match. The simplicity and versatility of the app interface creates an intuitive experience for both new and experienced users.
Two new features - AB Quantum Connect™ and AB Quantum Sync™ - enable users to quickly connect to other AB-enabled devices and sync gun profiles between them in seconds, as well as back those profiles up to an encrypted server for peace of mind and easy restoration. The new platform automatically saves changes made to rifle profiles and updates connected devices without the user needing to do anything.
For competitors or hunters, AB Quantum™ includes customizable Range and Multi-Target tables. This allows users to lay out the displayed information to exactly what they need to hit their target. After creating a range or target card, it can easily be shared via email.
Built with the future in mind, the new AB Quantum™ platform allows for continuous innovation. At launch the following new features will be available:
• AB Quantum™ User Interface - Take control of ballistic data and find solutions with ease using the new layout designed with one-handed operation in mind.
• New Bluetooth® Device Manager - Find and connect AB Bluetooth® devices quickly and send data between devices using AB Quantum Connect™.
• AB Quantum Sync™ - User gun profiles are automatically uploaded to an encrypted server to allow easy access for other devices and backup, providing peace of mind and security.
• Customizable Range Card and Target Card Modes - The new expandable and customizable range and target card modes allow users to select what data to see for each Range or Target. Use the share function to send range and data cards in just seconds.
• New Reticle Library - The AB Reticle library is hosted online and updates in AB Quantum™ automatically, providing users with up-to-date solution drawing for their favorite rifle scopes.
• Improved Truing Interface - Easy to access ballistic truing features without leaving solution screens.
• Chronograph Integration - Connect Bluetooth®-enabled chronographs - such as the Optex Systems SpeedTracker™ - directly to the app and save the velocity data to rifle profiles.

Decent looking app but…

I love what you all do there at AB. I have most of your books and they have been a big help in my long range adventure. However, I have to draw the line at forced subscriptions. The amount of work that looks like goes into your CDMs is awesome, and I can appreciate it, but for people that only need a few of them and can get by with G1 or G7 models for most shooting is not worth it. I would be willing to pay a few bucks for an app to have unlimited profiles, then a few bucks a piece for the few CDMs I would like to use. There will be no recurring payment for additional features I will not use. Hopefully there will be a happy medium found one day in this dichotomy that applies not only to phone apps these days. Keep up the good work!!

The new quantum app is bar none above and beyond anyone else in the industry. The user interface is fluid and easy to navigate. There are so many useful features packed in this. And the new ability to be able to sync up to other AB devices is awesome. It’s worth it and there’s quite a few YouTube videos out now to help explain the new things. If you’re serious about this sport it’s worth it.

Got a full view of the app and eventhough its a big improvement over previous version this upgrade is also way over price with an endless yearly fee.

Reticle Support

No reticle support for any Vortex scopes. Yes they are copyrighted, but Vortex is one of the most popular scopes in America. Make an effort.

Faulty ballistics calc

It fails to do the only thing it is intended to be doing - actual ballistics calculation. Using AB Custom Curves gets it all over the place. You can simply select a bullet from collection, set all the data, set zero at whatever distance and then it will show you around .5 - 1 MRAD correction for the same distance as you set zero to. No wind, no nothing.

I’ve used a few different ballistic apps and Applied ballistics is the most accurate with the greates ease of use.

I’ve used for years other PRO ballistic apps available as well and even they do not fall into the level of detail this one provides they all cost a fixed price; instead of 3 times their cost previously (without the “Quantum” improvement on interface and database for reticles, which in my opinion does not justify the HUGE yearly cost for serious recreational shooters.

Yeah… Sorry to say it. After years of using the fantastic previous version… AB Quantum is full of problems and missing features. It should have never been released / pushed in its current state. Really a shame.
