Displays officially licenced UKHO tidal data on an annual basis without ever needing to go online.
The tidal data is contained in our annual data plugins and must be purchased using in-app purchases.
Once you have purchased the data, this app will allow you to view UKHO standard port tides up to a year in advance.
The app will also calculate secondary port tides using its own built in offsets. (The 'UK data 2016' IAP contains data for 38 primary ports and over 500 secondary ports, see our website for more details on coverage)
The main view is an 'At a glance' table view of each month's tides and tidal ranges.
Selecting an entry will display an easy to use daily chart view showing the tide height for any time of day and a tidal stream view showing tidal direction and speed at hourly intervals.
The Weather section downloads and displays the current Met Office Inshore Forecast.
Absolute Tides also makes anchoring easy by calculating the maximum and minimum tides beween the current time and any selected future date/time.
Note: This application will NOT work without at least one of our tidal data in-app purchases being installed. Please check that the tide data you want is available before downloading this app.

Heights of tides can vary from those predicted depending on the prevailing weather conditions.
All data is given in good faith and is believed to be correct but we accept no responsibility for any consequential loss or damage arising from use of this application.
Secondary port data calculated using offsets will be less accurate than the UKHO standard port data.
This app is neither affiliated to nor endorsed by the Met Office.

This App does exactly what it says on the box
I am pleased with the service provided at reasonable cost and will probably be a lifelong user. The best boating £2.99 I have ever spent.

I have used this app and enjoyed using it all around the Uk and love it, however it would be very handy if Fleetwood was included or if it is I can’t find it I guess Morecambe bay is considered to be near enough but they are about 10 to 15 minutes different this is not a complaint just a suggestion for another year. I am amazed to see a review from a dissatisfied sailor not expecting to pay £2.99 for the whole of the uk when anything else connected to sailing is very overpriced, for under £3 it’s great value.
My Navigation Default Setting
As an amateur sailor of more than 50 years, this is my most useful navigational aid. Easy to use in sail planning and as a quick reference guide, I never set sail without it.
River Tyne issue fixed! (March 24)
App used to crash when selecting River Tyne. The App developer has now fixed this, making it once again one of the best apps out there. Mighty happy this is now sorted thanks 👍
Best UK tidal app
This app is a must, the tidal streams are a great plus along with the weather forecast
Great tidal app
I’ve tried quite a few other tidal apps and this is the best. Simple, accurate and easy graphics to show tidal data and current streams, perfect.
Useless for River Tyne Ports
I’ve used this app for about 5 years and always thought it brilliant. I come to use this years info and find if I try to use data for any River Tyne based ports the app just totally crashes, and needs re installing. Since most of my activity is in this area totally useless to me now. I can’t find a way of reporting this to the developer!
App closes immediately
I have used this app for several years and found it excellent but on loading the 2024 data it crashes immediately on opening and is now unusable. I'm on iOS 10.3.4 - not recent, I know, but why a new problem now?
