Advanced Buteyko

I have been training Buteyko breathing for many years. During this time I have tried many different versions of Buteyko breath work. I can say that this app by far outperforms the other methods. On top of that, it is very nice to no longer need to take the additional time and energy to manually type in the results from each breathing session, as this happens automatically. I totally love that I can check my graph immediately after each session! What a luxury to get a graph so easily. The graph is also very clear. The voice of the narrator is also very calm and soothing. I find that I am looking forward to the sessions and I love having the control of choosing levels myself based upon how I feel. It adds a layer of flexibility that makes the process a lot more fun. And all this almost for free! This is modern technology at its best, supporting people's healing process, making it a lot easier to reach that goal of hitting a 60 second CP!!! :)

Despite desperately needing a UI makeover, the app works well so far. However, it should mention (early) in the description for it that the cost to unlock anything but the basic two levels is hundreds of dollars. While I certainly don’t think expertise should be used for free, a basic app with poor design, no matter how functional, should not be that expensive. Many cannot afford that sort of investment, and I have no desire to invest in “coaching” to work on my asthma. I’ll go through my healthcare and work with a licensed speech pathologist if that’s needed. Accessing the basics of the Buteyko method and buying a 99 cent ebook is all this app needs to include. So charge less and get more people using it…wouldn’t that make more sense?

I believe in this method and the science behind it is sound. I wish I could afford to buy the whole program, but I can’t. So, I am stuck with the first two levels and that’s ok. But I’m frustrated with this app. For the most part, it works well, I love the fact you can basically keep a running journal of your health and progress, I don’t understand the chart thing at all. That is something that hasn’t helped me in the least. But my biggest issue is that it says you can tap your scores to edit them. I try this every time and it never works. I generally can hold my breath as long as the first EBH, but I never can change the scores to reflect that. I’m the kind of person that if you say something is supposed to work, I’m going to hold you to it. And this is a small but very frustrating thing to me. It would be so convenient for me if it did work because it takes space and time to record my own scores so I have a log of them. I don’t have a lot of time to sit and do this anyway, and I would much rather use the time to record my health, not scores. It’s a small thing, but irritating to me.

I can't imagine learning and practicing Buteyko without this app. It is so helpful. I chose to study the method with Eduard because of this app. So glad I did. It is so useful that he can see my data in great detail, and guide the process very accurately. Very well done!

The app is great ... the breathing exercises have made a huge difference in my life .... Having chronic respiratory issues I find doing the exercises assist me - have a long way to go, but it’s a great start. Highly recommend this app!!

The app is very easy to use and effective. Highly recommend—so many of us have been breathing “wrong” all along!

I’ve been using this app for about a month. My instructor can’t open new levels for me on a consistent basis. She told me to uninstall and reinstall the app and now it appears all my data is gone. I paid beaucoup bucks for access and a local instructor and this isn’t worth it. Be very cautious about paying for this. Frustrated and angry.

This is a great app. Very easy to understand and follow.

If you are practicing Advanced Buteyko, this app will aid you in increasing your CP. It also makes practicing much more convenient, and it records your session's numbers automatically.
