App crashes on my iPad every time, lost heaps of work. Waste of money
Was nearly a flawless design app but has recently stopped working properly on my ipad. Example, whenever I try to expand any stroke it crashes and I lose my work. So not great for creative workflow.
It’ll take getting used to, but it’s worth it in my opinion. So far it’s done everything I’ve asked from it, so I’m happy to have made the switch.
I have been using this app for a year and it is great! And once I had to contact customer service (because I had made a mistake) and they replied promptly and were great help. I can’t say enough good things about this app. I would highly recommend it.
Why is it so hard to rename a file??? Access via IOS Files is broken and unreliable... still way to hard to duplicate a file and latest updates reset all my filenames.
Unlimited layers at any size. Vector layers. Raster layers. All the tools. Missing a trace function most egregiously, but otherwise a great drawing, painting, GD & illustration app that’s gets better at every iteration for the ONE TIME price. Let’s hope Canva keep it that way after the buyout…
It’s frustrating to use and find simple tools gimp is better Yeah it has tools but it’s a mess I hate searching for simple things that should be easy I paid for it now I regret , it even worse when you need to google it
I really expected there to be a way for freehand lines to dynamically snap to a grid AS your draw them, but instead you have to adjust everything manually which is pretty tedious. Also wish it was easier to save grid settings as part of the canvas template, so I don’t have to set up the same grid settings every time I make a new canvas. Apart from that I’m pretty happy with the functionality.
I was seeking an alternative to Adobe Illustrator because I don’t agree with the subscription model. Affinity Designer 2 has been worth the purchase and I now like it more than Illustrator. There is a steep learning curve with the user interface but all of my questions were quickly answered with YouTube tutorials. It makes sense once you understand the UI. The only issue I’m finding is that it can be finicky to select text with pencil or by hand but this is not just nitpicking. Thank you developers for designing a well thought out product.
