This game has it all: from great game design and well-written world and characters to amazing interaction adaptation for touch controls. The sound, the art style are top level. From the very first second I can literally see the developer put his soul into this. It’s a great feeling to discover such games among all that mobile “games” that fill up AppStore. Instantly recommended it to all my friends and now I’m recommending it to you, who is reading this review. And if the developer will ever see this - thank you, legend! Now I have my eye on you and look forward to any other releases.

Quando comprei Afterplace eu não pesquisei sobre o jogo, imaginava que fosse um bom jogo e apenas isso, e na verdade foi simplesmente uma experiência única, é incrível como um jogo consegue te envolver quando é depositado o carinho e amor no seu desenvolvimento, nesse caso, o mérito vai totalmente para Evan Kice, QUE JOGO INCRÍVEL Me sinto incomodado por esse jogo não ser popular e reconhecido como ele deveria ser, e ainda mais por não ter jogado antes, enfim, por não ter uma tradução pt-br alguns momentos precisei do tradutor, mas em geral os diálogos são bem fáceis de entender, meu inglês é bem baixo. Um dos melhores indies que ja joguei, merece muito mais reconhecimento :D

I walked into it blind after stumbling upon it in the App Store. Usually hard to find games aren’t worth anything, ranging from cheap cash grabs to soulless nonsense. But Afterplace…is such a different game entirely. The Legend of Zelda/UnderTale influence is the first thing that caught my attention while playing. I fell in love the moment a squirrel I attacked ran offscreen and led me to a big surprise (emphasis on big). After that, I really couldn’t put the game down. The details I found in the world were so well fleshed out, and it feels lived in. Everything I interacted with/talked to gave me a reason to care and pursue crazy side quests. I loved the quirkiness, it’s got such a distinct, well crafted charm you truly can’t find with many games. I got so invested in the stories and the complete mystery of the events unfolding before me. I love getting to unravel the story myself and catching the details of the world that each tell a story. Each big story piece gave context in a way that had me in awe, especially the big main ending…(jaw was on the ground). Gameplay was simple, fluid but gave enough to do so that it never grew stale to play. This game has so much care and love put into it, for just one guy…Evan really gave us a piece of art worth talking about. From the serious moments to the all around goofiness of this game, it was such a delight to experience. I’m looking forward to anything this guy has next. Worth more than 8$ in my opinion

I took a risk buying this game as I searched feverishly for something interesting. Unsure of exactly what I was purchasing, I could not be happier with the outcome! The gameplay, the dialogue, the simplicity of its graphics.. all of it adds to the intrigue, nostalgia, and charm of this game. If you’re thinking “should I get this?” My response is a resounding “YES!”

This game kinda changed my life. It breathes new life into the mobile gaming world. Don’t be mislead by the simple graphics, the gameplay and story are some of the most substantive I’ve played in a long while. Starts off kinda fantasy and then gets rather deep. Very slow burn but worth the play. I especially love that you can turn off damage for the hard bosses (Unlike Elden Ring). Please provide backbone support. Thx.

Great game needs keyboard support or a steam release

this game is all that and more. you really will feel like you’re on an adventure with afterplace. this game provides that elusive feeling of being enraptured by the characters and world around you. literally while i was playing i thought, “man this is one of those games you will always wish you could play again for the first time.” get this one; oh the places you’ll go.

I have beaten it 3 times now, trying to get the different endings. Every time I have been impressed. 1 thing though, The reset button is gone so I’m just running around with nothing to do.
