Cons: The QR code cannot be scanned, so I couldn’t even record all the points that I could’ve accumulated. Pros: Recycling bins are bigger, with more variety for recycling Accessible as it’s near my house

Recycle & Redeem:
STEP UP Sustainability app promotes recycling by rewarding users with CO2 points while recycling right. The CO2 points reflect the amount of CO2 emissions you save through your recycling activities. Follow three easy steps to collect your CO2 points:
1. Take your empty and cleaned recyclables to the nearest blue recycling bin or your recycling chute outlets equipped with ALBA W&H Step Up Recycling QR Code.
2. Scan the QR code with the STEP UP Sustainability App
3. Take a clear picture of the clean recyclables and empty your bin or bag of recyclables.
The CO2 points will be automatically credited to your STEP UP account.
Convert your CO2 points to Grab points, or avail vouchers and discounts for sustainable goodies from our list of sustainable partners. You can also donate your points to your friends or your school.
Recycling Habits:
Track your CO2 points and keep a tab on your recycling habits and carbon footprint. Compare your results with an average app user.
Trash-ure Map and Trash-ure Chests:
Locate your nearest recycling bins, collection events and Cash-for-trash programs on our Trash-ure map. Save your convenient locations to your favourites and make navigation easier for next time.
STEP UP programs and collection events:
Find out more about the recycling events and trash collection events happening in your neighbourhood. Locate your nearest cash-for-trash programs and head down to collect additional CO2 points and money in return for clean recyclables.
Order & PickUp:
Landed properties can request for on-demand bulky waste collection. Additional categories of waste will be incorporated to this section.

App seems to have issue - no connection error
This problem seems to be unresolved for some time.
Error during voucher redemption
This app hangs quite a lot, often have to restart it. But it’s simple enough to do the recycling, same points are awarded regardless of the number/type of recycled items. When redeeming the voucher, there was an error and the voucher never reached my email. But luckily I found the URL in the notifications section (which took a long time to load/had to restart the app).
Disabled my default maps
No idea why after last update, everytime i click a map link and this app will open instead and since its useless enough, i decided to delete it
Long loading time, Keep loading non stop
Long Loading time. On the app, Load. Scanned picture to submit, load Waiting for the game , load Selected the game pouch, load After selecting , load
Lagging & points redeem wasted.
When scanning the app load and crashed. It’s been two weeks and all my empty bottles are wasted without redeem points & deeds. How do I claim this points?!
Incredibly slow and buggy app
Very poorly optimised app. Takes 30 seconds just to launch app and whether you can scan and receive points is a coin flip. Defeats purpose of incentivising recycling.
Copy & paste the code instead, don’t look for email!
Don't look for email! The code that you see after redeeming your point is actually a url. Copy and paste it in your browser it will shows up your code for voucher.
Doesn’t Work Anymore
September 2023. This app doesn’t work after taking photo of the items. Every time. Company gets items without any points. Cheats.
Weird Bug
After downloading this, when I try to “Open in Google Maps” it opens Alba Setup instead.
