Alto's Odyssey — Remastered

I love this game, in fact I believe it is probably better than the original alto game. Unfortunately the gameplay is ruined by a copious amount of bugs: The screen randomly going blank, characters falling through the ground when it’s supposed to be solid, land acting like water, the lemurs running in the air, the lemurs getting you while being meters behind you, i’m sure there are more but those are the ones I can remember. Despite this it is still a good game, and to those who say the challenges need a ‘skip’ button- no they don’t the point of the game is to be challenging, if there is a skip button it destroys the very point game. Thank you.

Not sure what’s going on with this game but there is no audio at all for me. I’ve checked in settings and audio is turned on but it’s completely silent making it impossible to play. Will update review if this gets fixed.

I like this game, it’s good - I played the original version to completion and I’ll play this one too… But, I had the same complaint about the original - when it’s night in the game it’s virtually impossible to see anything. My eyesight isn’t bad, so I can just about play (especially once I get the wing suit) but this is plainly and simply an accessibility issue. When it’s day and I can see and I enjoy the game, wen it’s night I can’t and I don’t. I guess anybody with eyesight any worse than mine would just give up. It needs a mode to always make it day or something. Apart from them the game’s still good, the new area is nice and the new challenges are fine. It does have some bugs and I don’t remember the originally being so noticeably buggy but maybe it was. I’m talking stuff like crashing into rocks while you’re boosting, or not boosting after a really quick wingsuit, or clipping through things at high speed. It’s a good game, just needs to be more accessible please.

I played the game all the way through. Loved it. The last quest is to get 350k trick points in one run. I was on 299,700 and the game blacked out and glitched. Right at the end. So annoying. Deleted it.

Loved this first time round, even more the second - until level 59 where one of the tasks - the wingsuit/crate one - seems to be impossible in that the game doesn’t acknowledge completion.

This is a fantastic game, beautiful design, incredible scenery, but there’s an annoying bug when using the ProMotion setting, the game freezes and stutters when this is enabled, forcing you to use 60fps only, despite iPads and iPhones now going up to 120fps.

I’m ready for an update now to fix ProMotion stuttering…

I’ve been playing this game on a few devices but I’ve recently been lucky enough to get my hands on an iPhone 13 pro, when you switch this game to pro motion mode it’s plagued with constant hitches. Otherwise, I love this game!

I've somehow never played any of the other games in this series and I have missed out massively if they're all like this. Super solid fun, beautiful and really relaxing when you want a bit of escapism. Probably my favourite game so far on Apple Arcade.

The promise of Apple Arcade is that I can pick up and play on all my devices where I am signed in with the same Apple ID. However, Alto’s Odyssey does not sync between my iPhone and Mac somehow, even though I am clearly signed in with the same Game Centre account and my high score is showing the same on Mac and iPhone. Is there a fix or is progress between Mac and iPhone not supposed to sync up? Other than that, this is a stunningly beautiful game with music to match. Relaxing but challenging at the same time. Love it.
