Watched some tutorials online. I don’t think it uses the camera, because you need to place your iPhone DIRECTLY ON TOP of the card. Haha. I didn’t know my iPhone could read my card like that. Anyway my iPhone 15 Pro Max acted like a card reader and “scanned” MyNumber Card right away. So I changed my one-star review to 5 stars. In short, the instructions on the app aren’t clear. 0 stars for unclear instructions. 5 stars for actually working. Don’t hover your phone over the card like you’re taking a picture. You must place your iPhone on top of the card (direct contact). I did put the top portion of my phone with the camera in the middle of the card. If the app does work for you, please leave a review telling people how to use it. I’m happy that I can see all my info now!

Tried to scan my MyNumber card but never succeeds. It doesn’t show you how it is lining up in the camera. In fact, the app never asks for permission to use the camera so how is this app going to even work. No wonder people can’t get this app to work.

I was trying to renew my son’s passport on this app but couldn’t do anything like NOTHING!!wasting time!!Trash!

This app is a joke. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Save yourself time and frustration, don’t bother using it. You won’t get anywhere.

Used this app to apply for Corona virus relief package online. This app is used to read the IC card embedded My number card for electronic authorization. You need to have your passwords you set at the city hall or municipal office ready as you need to enter it several times. My iPhone X had no problem reading IC card, but i needed to take the cover off to get the better signal. For those of you think this App is useless, just mail your Corona virus relief paper. It’s a lot easier.

I am having same experience as Justin. It just takes me back to the AppStore. Endless loop.

This app doesn’t actually do anything in conjunction with your my number card. You can’t use it to apply for the new card nor can you use it to apply for the stimulus. It’s just four links that take you back to the website that asked you to download the app in the first place.

Disappointing as usual. Like the other reviewer. This just links to a few website pages. It’s so embarrassing.

Clicking on buttons in the app simply opens a link to the App Store page to the same app. Classic Japanese “high tech” apps. It would be funny if this wasn’t necessary for every day life and government services. Welcome to 1995.
