As a director, Artemis Pro is, hands down, my most useful tool to establish a visual dialogue with the crew and clients. I first started using it in 2013 on an iPhone 7 (together with the iPro Lenses) and have kept it in my phones all the way to an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I use it during scouts as much as I do during actual shoots and its capabilities and up-to-datedness never cease to amaze me. Also, their client service is unbelievable: I got in touch with them with an issue and Nic Sadler immediately contacted me in Mexico, helped me sort it out, and followed it up all the way into an actual app update. He literally saved my tech-scout and for that, I’m grateful.

Don’t waste your money on this overpriced app. Cadrage is so much better because it’s easier to use and has a nice simple UI. This app is worthless to me. UPDATE: No Nic, I have no interest contacting you. I changed my review to correct the price I listed. Thanks for letting me know about that. You also addressed several other issues I mentioned in my review, but oddly, you did not address the fact that Cadrage is so much better. USERS: Do a search of Artemis reviews before buying and you’ll see that the majority of people agree that Artemis is bloated and difficult to use, and has LUTs that are comical and tacky. Save yourself the frustration of trying to use this app and get the better one.

There’s no question that this app is the most useful tool for every filmmaker. From concept to production it has aided in the process and given me and my crew a better way to convey what is in my mind!

Every picture I took was deleted or went offline and I can not recover them.
