Straightforward and easy to use during a meltdown. Helps us to avoid stressful situations and structure her day. Lots of images and sounds. Good alarm sounds (gentle) to reduce panic when it goes off. I use the if then and timers every to day help me manage my daughter before, during and after school. Thoroughly recommended.

We have used ASD TOOLS for several years now because it’s uncomplicated to use and it’s works so well with all of the kids. Loving all of the new upgrades and expanded features especially the new and improved timers and expanded rewards charts. Importing photos is easy just wish I could edit the names like the last version. Either way it’s a winner for therapy and home

The app is easy to use. Has pictures on there to use but I love how you can take pictures and they are instantly stored on for future use. An app I highly recommend and tell all my friends about. Great price too 👍

With the Coronavirus lock-down now in effect, my kids were going crazy because their day didn’t have a familiar structure and they were constantly saying “I’m bored, I’ve got nothing to do”. A friend recommended this app to me (she’s using it for her terrible 2 and 3 year old). To be honest, the app name got to me a bit, but I gave it a go and I have to say I’m really glad I did. It has given our day a structure, routine, to-do list and a schedule we can easily work by. It was so fast to set up and use. The library comes with heaps of images but the great thing is I can use my own photos and pop them right into the visual schedule tool. The other tools are simple and effective. This morning I created a morning (get dressed, clean their bedroom, make their bed, brush teeth & hair etc) and an evening routine (which starts with dinner and has everything from then until bedtime). Kids love ticking stuff off their to-do list / routine and I have kept a basic day long diary to closely mimic their school day meals, breaks and activities. My youngest isn’t a good reader yet but having a to-do list that’s all images is a wonderful idea, he loves it. I’ve created a check list for each of them showing their daily chores and special activities as well but the rewards tool tokens a proving to be such a great idea to keep them motivated. Love the ability to structure and time-box their play time with this app too. We only have one device and as you can imagine sharing at this age isn’t great, however the timer and first then tools are fantastic for helping with this as both can see their getting the same amount of time and the sharing is structured. My husband noticed that everyone, including me, is a lot calmer since using the app and he laughed when the kids gave Daddy a rewards chart for helping me clean up, it made us all laugh. This app has eliminated so many squabbles so for this reason, and others, I think every young parents should definitely check it out.

Really find ASD TOOLS such a useful and easy app to use. Super easy to get up and running straight way which is so important when you work with children with Special Needs and Autism like we do. The real strength of the app is that each of its tools is designed to integrate and work with each other. We set up a Visual Schedule, when we hit a problem we move across to First Then with its timer, reward the child when they have completed the First Then and then continue on with their Visual Schedule. Kids get a real kick out of ticking the images off their Visual Schedule and the rewards tool is great at keeping them on task and motivated. If you’re looking for an app to triumph over transitions (First Then), create choice boards or Visual Schedules (Steps tool) bookend an activity or time a transition (timer) this may be a worthwhile investment for you too.

A great app and easy to navigate, however I was disappointed when I went to use the app on another of my devices and the routines weren’t there. There should be a way to download or export routines and save them without losing them with updates etc. I also would like if you could print the routines or at least save as PDF or export them to print. If this functionality was available I would give five stars.

Love this app, but frustrating to have it consistently stop working with every iPad update, then reinstall and have lost all saved routines. Would be 5 stars if this were not an issue, as I use with all my ASD clients.

Such an amazing idea.this app is easy and simple to use. Highly recommend for teachers and families that are new to the world of ASD and maybe feeling overwhelmed and need some support and guidance.

The price on the screen is wrong. That's how much it costs to download, but to use it the cost more than doubles. It's also not particularly user friendly.
