Ask Pastor John

John Piper gives some very helpful, thoughtful, and biblically sound answers to some tough and important questions. It is also great when “moralistic” questions come back with an answer that doesn’t just explain what you should or shouldn’t do, but points you to God, and leaves you more satisfied in him than in having the question answered. The app is a bit strange in some ways though. Unlike Solid Joys (which I heartily recommend!), it gives the audio without transcript, while the other gives text with no audio. In either app both are available through the Share link, but why not include it in the app! 🙂

It would be really good if there was a star system or something so that we could save some of them because there are just Sooo many. A way to star and save them would be really great.

Great app delivering great podcasts everyday. This is an amazing daily source of wise counsel and encouragement for life!

Being away from home and suddenly having certain questions about God and Christianity, this is a great tool from an obvious follower, learner and educator of Christ. It is teaching me so much. Thank you Pastor john.

This app plays the latest 7 podcasts from John Piper's 'Ask Pastor John' ministry. Here he answers questions about life, doctrine and occasionally his favourite authors. As usual with Dr Piper, his answers are clear and Biblically-founded. This is a simple app to use, just tap the podcast you'd like to hear and you can listen. A very handy feature is that the podcasts continue to play after you visit the homescreen and launch another app. They also continue after you lock the phone. The only thing I'd like to see in a future version is a way of accessing the whole APJ archive, as we are on episode 97 now and I'd love to listen to his other podcasts. That aside, I highly recommend it to any Christian. Soli Deo Gloria!
