One of the worst apps I’ve ever used (coming from a parent and an UX specialist)
Aula is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. The design in unintuitive (seems like it was made by product owner rather than a designer), user has no idea what’s going on, where are the notifications, what each section is suppose to do. Information architecture require thorough rework. The design doesn’t follow any User experience principles. And the worst thing it is an app to know what’s going on with your kids. It doesn’t make anything easier for a parent. Also creators are only focused on Scandinavian languages even though everyone in Scandinavia speaks English. It doesn’t take into consideration people that just moved to Scandinavia and don’t speak a word in for example Danish. In our vugguestue most parents are foreign - I can safely assume that at least 20% of the users are non native Scandinavians. This is really bad experience. And let me remind the creators that this is about parents having access to what’s going on with their children in institutions. Support users by: - thorough redesign of the app - focus on user ease of mind - app in English - this is a must - provide with translation tool for messaging, etc.
