Awatar.net (pronounced as avatar) is a freelancing platform for remote shoppers where you can make money by digging through crates of vinyl records, inspecting, purchasing them on behalf of your clients (at physical shops, fairs, flea markets, etc.), packing them up and mailing them out.
This video streaming utility app is tailor-made for remote shoppers. Most importantly, it's optimized to transmit high-quality images over extremely degraded wireless signal that with other video streaming apps would only be good for audio.
To become an avatar in the first place, you'll need to fill out a short form, pass a short interview and set up a profile via our web app, where you'll also manage your availability calendar and bookings.
Note that this app uses a lot of data to stream HD video (up to 2GB/hour), so make sure in advance that you're on an unlimited or a sufficiently generous data plan.
