Balance My Checkbook

I have had the app since Oct 2013, and was generally happy with it. Only needed the basic free version as I just wanted something instead of a paper cheque register. About 6 months ago, there were some great upgrades: remembered similar transactions, etc. THEN the most recent update about a month ago... I started noticing the difference. If I made a error or wanted to change an entry, it would only do so once it was back in the main list if I pressed & depressed the clear button! And if I had changed the date, it no longer moved the entry up or down. It just stayed there. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. FINALLY, the last couple days, a few times when I deleted an item, I noticed the running balance of cleared items, was no longer correct, even though the item was no longer listed. And yesterday I was consistently $10,500 OVER, and I went back through every transaction since Oct 2013. Finally very frustrated, I deleted the whole app & thus ALL the information and reloaded the app. So last night, I restarted from scratch, entered my starting balance from July 1, 2015... and everything looked good. I entered in transactions until end of month, then I purposely deleted a $500 one and then re added it. Everything still balanced correctly... But when I woke this morning... It was $500 off and now it was UNDER $500. I cannot continue like this, so I will leave it a day, and if it doesn't magically correct, I will delete it permanently. Very sad :(

This makes an excellent cheque register, but it needs to accommodate recurring transactions and be able to reconcile to the bank. I assumed if I paid for the full upgrade it would give me this. Disappointed. Looking for another app.

Edit: was just contacted by the developer, more than 4 month after leaving my review. I have since moved on to a different app to keep track of my balance and have yet to have any issues. I understand things can get busy and immediate responses aren’t usually possible, but after 4 months you can’t possibly expect someone to keep an app that fails to keep accurate track of funds. Frankly it’s insulting. I used this app for a few years to keep track of my expenses, as that is what it’s for. I kept having random discrepancies between what my ledger said and what my bank account said. At first I thought I was just putting in the numbers wrong. Recently I downloaded a different app to see if I was entering things wrong. Turns out this app is occasionally wrong with its math, sometimes by a few pennies, other times by significantly larger sums. Checked and double checked that I entered things the same way in both apps, and the other app has yet to be off. I’m sure there are others who have experienced similar issues, and no disrespect to the makers of this app, but I can’t afford to have these discrepancies, overdraft charges and all.

The last few months, it’s been a challenge keeping track of my finances and what is going to clear. I’ve checked and re checked and I’ve been entering things in correctly and it’s still off my hundreds of dollars. Not a great feeling. Will be deleting and getting a new app

Keeps giving error msg of subscription expired. Apps is paid for and up to date. What used to be a solid reliable app is now frequently buggy

Love the app but wish it would sync with android so my husband can view our banking. Is there any future plans to update the app to sync with android? So many couples have different phones!

I’ve been using this app for many years. Able to log, reconcile and keep track of income and outgo. Highly recommend.
