I’m a contractor and I’ve used this app for several years now. Yes it’s not fancy and it has its quirks however..the time it takes to learn to navigate it are well worth it. It’s very accurate and no frills. It just works and saves me and my crews a pile of time. If you want something that has bling look elsewhere. However if you use it as a tool it is exactly what you need.

Once I figured out where to press it works great. Wish stair angle could be set to greater then 40 degrees. Would rate higher if it did. *update* Thank you for the response. It’s works great and was very helpful in my last stair railing install!

Looks like it was written for iOS 2 and it's tricky to navigate as the navigation buttons are in weird spots and blend in with other buttons. Poor design

On average, 5 minutes of my time on the job is worth approx. $3.00. This app has saved me hours on the job. Like another reviewer said, this app makes money.

I used to spend a good 15 minutes standing at my table doing calculations to find c - c spacing on slope. This app doesn't cost money, it makes money! Thanks!!

I am a carpenter by trade. Doing decks and stairs a lot. This app helps with saving a bit of time on the calculations side of things. Well worth the few dollars.

I am a stair installer by profession and I do these types of calculations almost daily. This doesn't save me hours but it does save me time in my job. The new update was definitely needed as the sliders were a definite downer. Keep up the good work on the updates.

I was doing the railing on my new deck - around the perimeter and of course the hand-rail down the stairs. I'm not a math wiz, especially with fractions, and I'm sure this little app saved me hours of pain... both in the math area but also trying to correct the mistakes I know I would have done (no matter how often I measure and cut - the board is always too short!). My only critique is that the sliders to 'key' in the dimensions is a little touchy. When it's 90F+ degrees outside and your fingers kinda stick to the window, it's hard to get the dimension correct. Although the sliders are slick - I'd like more leeway with the scale or an alternate method for entering the dimensions (just a keypad for example). Even with that, I have to give this app 5 stars.

Have been using this app since the beginning when developed. Greg even sent me an email when he developed for android phone and asked for any input. I’m a trim carpenter and have used this app on hundreds of stairs. Such a big time saver. Not only works on balusters,but beams, decorative moldings on walls and other uses. Great app and time saver. Thanks

It’s an okay, basic app. Works as described. It could use a few upgrades. 1 inch = 25.4mm. It only allows you to put in whole numbers for metric. It would be nice to have a visualization tool, so you can see how the balusters would look between the post. It would be nice to have the option to start with a center baluster and then space out evenly in each direction.
