BBO – Bridge Base Online

After updating into iOS 14.2 the game is having problems with fitting into the screen. It looks like the game makes its graphic output into a window slightly wider than the screen width, so that I can move the output to the left and to the right a bit by swiping. Also after the phone was flipped horizontally the game adjusts the format of graphics to horizontal. However, when the phone is flipped back vertically, the image becomes like 4 times greater than the screen as if you are looking at it via a magnifying glass.

In updated version you cannot easily see results of other tables. Previously I could just tap two times: score-other tables to see and compare, now there is no such button, and to get that one should go to History-game-other tables. If you return to game from out there and then want to see other’s results for your next game, you should tap 6 times, as History stays at the same previous game tables list. It’s very annoying (as it’s almost always interesting to see what was the right way to bid/play) and can be fixed by just adding button Other tables next to “Next card” in the page showing how you yourself bid and played. Ability to change language of the app would also be very helpful (I am from Russia and is obliged to use Russian language as a must, but would prefer to change it to English, as Russian translation is far from ideal).

I appreciate that playing for free means putting up with ads, but lately they are impossible to close, and the only way to do so is to close the app, which means starting from scratch when playing Just Declare and other Solitaire games. These are usually ads for laser eye surgery and dental treatments. Have you got increased revenue from these ads, or is it reducing the number of players? I hate the feeling I am being forced to subscribe - it feels like blackmail. Please stop.

Ads are ridiculously intrusive now and I will switch to RealBridge

I have been using my iPad mini 4 with rhe latest iOS for some years. It has recently started misbehaving in various ways, refusing to start, telling me my Wi-Fi is the problem, blank screen etc etc. I have raised a query with BBO and been told to reload to the latest version. I reported that I was using 6.26.0 only to be told that is not the latest. As 6.26.0 is shown here as the latest I am at a loss what to do next. It works ok on my pc and my wife’s iPad but not my one. Can somebody please help me ???

it is clear that the company owning this app does not understand the concept of bridge. the adds interrupt you while playing tournaments, how are you supposed to not be affected by this? because of this, one star and goodbye i would rather pay my money somewhere else

I have been using BBO for a number of years and it has been absolutely great but, following an update a week ago, play now keeps being interrupted by full page adverts, which are difficult to get rid of, mostly advertising gambling sites. I appreciate that BBO needs and should be able to generate revenue, but promoting gambling sites is wrong!

Excellent game but Ad header bar blocks top part of screen covering options on account page , leave table option on play page, not a problem on tablet but major issue on phone

Paid for this app but now demanding subscription !

Since the “advertising” set-up was tweaked and the adverts completely take over my device, even opening the App Store, for children’s games this has become a struggle. I am not sure BBO should be allowed to do this. It is too aggressive. I’ve deleted the app and will close my account once my credit is used up. Shame. [the Weekly Free Instant Tournament isn’t so much now]. Bye.
