BBQ Go

I downloaded this app as it is the designated app for previous version of Inkbird devices. These devices themselves work OK, but proper data management isn't available or fully compatible in the newer Inkbird app, nor are there any instructions or support whatsoever. for "older" Inkbird devices. (i.e. ITH-20R & IBS-M1 — new 2years ago, Ha!) the "support" page will just send you to shop to buy newer models. Planned obsolescence

The app needs to fix its battery usage problem. I closed the app long ago and my stats show that it’s the main app consuming battery in the background.

The app has most of the data you need to know but displays it in a clunky way. If the graph, graphics and tracking were improved it would be great.

The app was rudimentary at best, but has now stopped connecting with the sensor and is useless.

Still works great but in the last update - lost the description of what I’m cooking. Not a big deal but kind of annoying. Otherwise superb app.

Good for reading temps and setting alarms (temp and time) but the data capture has issues. If you close the app, or even open another app on your device for more than a few minutes, all your temp data is lost and the graphs reset. There’s also no way to save historical data once a cook is finished (except for screen dumping). I’d definitely give it a higher rating if these things we fixed.

The App loses history if your phone locks or if you use another app or even if the alarm goes off. Actually, showing the current temp and alarming is the only thing this app does. If you want to know how the smoke/cook went, get something else. If you want to improve your skills….get something else. Just get something else. The hardware seems ok.

This app has been around for 5 years with many updates and you’ve never bothered to correct the issue of the temperature graph not fitting on an iPhone screen? Can’t scroll or zoom in/out or anything. Poor QA and UAT.

As you’ve probably already read, it does provide an accurate temperature reading. However, any break resets the whole thing - your internet drops out, you move your phone too far away, use another app or your phone goes to sleep are all reasons for it to reset and you lose your temperate graphs.

I do not usually write reviews for apps but I feel there are some crucial aspects to this app missing that could easily be implemented to greatly improve overall usefulness. I write this in hope that they may be considered to be new additions in an update in future. - the ability to scroll through a time or adjust the scope (zoom in) to see more specific time/temp data - the ability to label probes - the ability to adjust the temp range/peak on a probe without having to open into saved templates, it takes four taps to do something that could be accomplished in one. - set snooze time for alerts I have only used this once and these things were obvious to me, I’m sure that they could be easily implemented as the ink bird hardware is fantastic, but the app does not effectivey capture or use the data
