Beast of Bodkin Hall

A complete joy. So much fun - story, characters and dialogue, puzzles - for hours. There is sparkling wit here with many engaging puzzles that, when solved, make one relish every bit of the process. These games are simply that good, so much so, that it is difficult to say which ones I have enjoyed more. They are all worth it. Kudos! And please continue to create as you do.

This is far and away the most engaging, funny, well-thought out game I have played for quite some time. I wouldn’t have made it through without hints, but now that I understand how the brilliant developer minds work, I can’t wait to try their previous games.

Deleted the game after 30 minutes. The controls are terrible and the gameplay is confusing. The English translation is also so poor it was really hard to read. Wish I hadn’t spent the money.

+ Wonderful artwork, great character design, really well written + Has an official *text only* hint system, wonderful for nudges towards clues rather than having to sit thru a video. + Puzzles that make you feel like you’re actually solving them, not just memorizing info from one place and sticking it in another. - Makes more sense if you’ve played the other games from mysterycapers. (But why wouldn’t you? They’re all fantastic) - idiosyncratic navigation continues to confound me. (It’s far different from most 2d puzzle games) - a few puzzles are *way* too mathematician for me

This has become one of my favorite games because of the developer’s unique and witty style. The characters from previous games reappear and build up the story, and are quite entertaining. I liked the ending and can’t wait for more from MysteryCaper!! My favorite part is the hint system via the website. If you have a question, the developer usually responds that day or the next!

I’ve played all of these games, some of them multiple times. The Beast is another winner. Great puzzles, familiar characters and you really get the sense you’re at the ‘party’. I grab these as soon as they are out and always eagerly await the next one!

I’ve enjoyed playing every single mystery caper game. I love the puzzles, the unique point and click style, and how you engage with the characters. The stories always make sense and you can tell the developers pour their heart into these games. I can’t wait to see what else the team has in store!!!

I LOVE all the MysteryCaper games. They are bright and cheery. The illustrations, dialogue, puzzles-all amazing. And the website with hints if you need them is genius. Being able to have a hint before seeing the answer as well as explanations for each clue is much better than watching a walkthrough video. Please make more!!!!
