Beyond Sundays

I like the app, but it has stopped giving me reminders to read the verses.

Although the new design may be aesthetically nicer, it is more difficult to navigate. With the old design you just go directly to the verse, and you can track unread verses, something you cannot do with the new design. Moreover you always have to hit ‘view more” to see the whole verse which is annoying. Finally, you cannot control the size of the text and the app does not support dynamic type text. Overall however I still enjoy reading verses on a daily basis. A great way to be reminded to read God’s word.

In today’s world of distractions, this app not only keeps me focused on the Lord throughout the day, it helps educate by asking questions relating to the scripture.

Even though I’m not a member, this app is still very helpful. The customizable feature and the spiritual survey are great tools for spiritual growth.

The survey tool is a great starting point to a customized experience. Seems like there could be more to this app to be added in the future rather than just prayer and bible verses, given the headline "Beyond Sundays." Some feature upgrades would include a "night mode" (black background with white text) and a bible verse version changer. Not everyone wants to study or memorize just one version. A good start nonetheless.

MBC did a great job on this app. It's made it easier for me to remain in the word of God in a secular world

I've been using (or trying to) use this app since it was first introduced and although I was very fond of the idea of this app, now I am disliking it because it needs many fixes. I open the app and it starts loading and loading, and never stops loading so I'm unable to read anything. I still get the notifications so now I am at 7 unread messages but I can't open the app; all I see is a black screen. This is the 3rd time downloading it and restarting my phone and it still doesn't work. Please fix it :(

I think this app is a wonderful idea and I love that MBC is embracing technology to help get people into God's Word. My suggestion for a future update is the ability to reset the statistics. I went out of the country without my phone (ironically, on an MBC mission trip) and now my statistics, while accurately indicating that I did not read the messages right away, leave little room for grace :) It would be great if I could reset those stats as a fresh start now that I'm reunited with my phone.

Overall, it's a useful tool to begin engaging scripture. I started toward the end of a week, so my goals appear skewed for the first week. I've had 19 msgs, which show correctly as read same day, but it also shows I have 1 msg read next day & 12 never read. I can't drill into these but I have no idea from where these numbers are coming. Makes the pie chart useless...UPDATE: so I found the root cause of my stats problem, user error or flaw is debatable. Apparently, tracks and messages are not tightly integrated. Alerts come only for messages, but not all tracks? I went through all my tracks and now the pie chart is correct. It would be nice if the tracks summary had an indicator of unread msgs below the summary. When I drilled down to the details, I saw immediately which verses were unread.

Looks like it will be a good tool when it is working but I just dowloaded it and it will not let me register.
