I can’t even give a review of this app because the UI is hot garbage

Is this even allowed by the App Store rules? “Apps should not require users to rate the app, review the app, watch videos, download other apps, tap on advertisements, enable tracking, or take other similar actions in order to access functionality, content, use the app, “

I was actually pretty excited to try an alternative for Goodreads. But seeing “Tracking permission is mandatory” (when you try to sign up) with no explanation and no way to access any functionality without it is just not it.

John Fish & this app has helped me to be more intentional and consistent with reading. I've read 5 books so far this year compared to maybe 2 in previous years and I love it, I'm documenting what I read more thanks to this app and also joined the book club for a community of readers. It's been fun!

I love the community features and a longtime supporter/subscriber of John Fish’s YouTube channel but I have one critique. I recommend that his team adds a feature where you can import your books from the Kindle app so it synchronizes with what books you’ll be able to add to Bookshelved. I know this app is still early days, but if this feature was added then this app will add a newer bigger demographic of an audience! Best wishes, Nico :)
