Bosch MeasureOn

Used out for a long time to measure and record for motorized screen systems. Had a lot of data. Opened it up and it stated session time out. And let me proceed. I could see all of are work spaces behind it. We had a subscription past, so it ask us to update. We did. It deleted all the data and measurements off of our iPad, and then randomly selected, a few workplace measurements over the past six months once logged in. I did contact their service, but they have not responded. It has done a few glitching in the past like not saving measurements, but not like this. The loss of data will cost our company greatly. We will not beat a price increase from a supplier. We are talking thousands. As a result, we recommend any construction company considering this product think twice. Do not use this app or the measuring tool.

I paid for the Bosch Pro Cloud & Export subscription expecting access to promised features like AR scanning and CAD file exports, but it has been a complete disappointment. The AR scanning doesn’t work, and the CAD files won’t import correctly into 2020 Design or other CAD software, making the subscription useless for my needs. For a premium service, this should NOT be so difficult to use or set up. There is little to no support available, and the software feels incomplete. I regret spending money on this and would not recommend it to anyone relying on these features for professional work. Bosch needs to step up their game or stop charging for features they can’t deliver.

This app has cost the company I work for thousands of dollars from measures just deleting or corrupting themselves. When contacted they said nope nothin we can do, then had the audacity to offer a free month of PRO for compensation. The old app was perfect. This heeping pile of garbage is the worst thing Bosch has ever done. Crashes non stop, logs me out at random times while using the app. DO NOT RELY ON THIS APP FOR YOUR OWN COMPANY

I’m a claims adjuster, so this tool would be super handy for me if it was more versatile. It appears at the app only allows you to create one room at a time with no way of attaching additional rooms. -nor is this address by any Bosch helpdesk questions. This means that if you are sketching a bedroom, you can’t attach the closet to go with it. A lot of my work requires me to measure 6+ rooms per File, so it is important to be able to attach them. Hopefully this will be any feature they add in the future.

I've been using the Bosch MeasureOn app on my iPad for several years. One of the main reasons I bought Bosch measuring lasers was because of the app's features. Over the years, I've purchased over four lasers and recommended them to around 20 colleagues. However, with my new iPad Pro, I discovered that the MeasureOn app I was using is no longer available, and there's a new version. I'm still trying to get used to it, but I discovered that exporting my measurements now requires a paid subscription. While I might consider paying for an app if the price is reasonable, the monthly fee for this app seems too steep. I've spent over $400 on a laser, and now they want an extra $15 monthly to use the app properly. To compare, I pay less than $10 monthly for music and $10 a year for drawing apps I use frequently. I don't think it's fair to be charged $15 a month ($180 year) for an app that used to come free with my laser purchase. This pricing is just too expensive. I hope they reconsider and adjust the pricing, as Bosch might end up losing many customers. After seven years, I'm highly disappointed and frustrated with this additional monthly fee on top of the hardware I already use.

Have been using it for a while but recently started to see data lost for measurements. These are both new measurements (only photo retained; no arrows/valuez) and also even old ones I have not touched in more than 1 year (arrow is there, arrow1/2/3/… table shows the values but not on the photo - so don’t know which one is arrow1, etc.). This doesn’t happen to all - just a few. So backup/export once just to be safe so at least you still have a copy. Edit: Dropping to 1-star as export functionality is now a paid subscription feature. If you can’t even backup/export (w/o additional fees) and the app loses measurement data occasionally- then better not use this app at all!

I found this app useful when making plans for my house. Got a new phone and wanted to share the files I made to the new phone, but the free cloud function of 200mb doesn’t work for anything except the demo project, not for any project you make yourself. Tried getting the free trial of pro export, and that can only export CAD or PDF files, neither of which you can import into the app on another device. Cancelling my pro subscription today. Wrote to customer service a few days ago but of course no timely response. Deleting.

I like to be able to draw whole floor plan of a building in one sheet not room by room. And like to be able to draw interior walls. Also wall view only support rectangular shape walls. For example for pitched roof buildings the wall at gable ends are not rectangular shape.

I spent 2 hours adding doors and windows for a floor plan which viewed in the workspaces fine. Then back in office I combined workspaces to project, opened the individual drawings with doors and windows shown on thumbnail to find them gone in edit mode. This app is extremely underdeveloped and unreliable. Don’t trust any valuable data to it
