Buggy
It is okay but pretty buggy whenever I try to log progress on a brew it just pulls up a white screen

Brewing with total confidence. The details make the difference between an average batch of home brew and a truly excellent brew that is repeatable. This app is a beer recipe calculator, brew session tracker, and brew log - all on your iPhone. This application is capable of syncing with the Brewer's Friend cloud solution (the application works by itself stand alone, but the sync requires a premium account at the site).
This application is ad free.
Main feature list for version 1.0:
* Complete recipe designer with pre-populated list of grains, hops, and yeast. Ability to add your own custom grains.
* Fully supports metric units!
* Work in Specific Gravity or Plato.
* OG/FG/IBU/SRM, yeast attenuation automatically calculated.
* Supports All Grain, Extract, Partial Mash, BIAB.
* Tells if recipe matches style.
* Pick the equations and units you prefer.
* No Chill – Extended Hop Boil Time Supported.
* Target 'to the fermentor' or 'to the kettle' batch sizes.
* Journal for tracking events like gravity readings, volume collected, dates, and tasting notes.
* Tracks what phase the brew is in.

- Adds a brew timer feature.
Version 1.2:
- Recipe sync with the Brewer's Friend cloud is supported (requires premium account).

Dark Mode Bug
If your iPhone is set in dark mode it makes the app unusable. All the input boxes get blacked out and the font colour remains black so you can’t see what you’re typing. It is fixable by turning off dark mode but I shouldn’t have to keep doing it to make the app useable.
I can’t use the calculators
All the cells for the calculators looks black now, so you can’t see the values
Absolutely perfect for building recipes
Absolutely perfect for building/saving recipes and calculating ABV, IBU etc with relation to water, grains, hops, yeast (and all the other variables). Don’t know where I’d be without it tbh (BeerSmith most likely).
Simple brew log and calcs
I’m a beginner extract/partial mash brewer and I find this app very easy to log brew recipes and gain useful calculations, more straight forward than some of the other apps out there.
Am I missing something
Having read the previous reviews, and being a huge fan of their website, I download this app in readiness for my brew day. As i said in the title....am I missing something? It doesn’t allow me to sink recipes from the website, no account login, I have to manually scroll through list of fermentables rather than typing in the word such as Maris otter pale ale and no countdown timers to help with the brew day unlike dime modern apps. It may have been 5 stars 10 years ago but come on Brewers Friend, get with the times!!
Works fine
The app functions just fine but could use an overhaul so it feels closer to the website.
Great App for beginners to experienced
Great app to design recipes for beginners to experienced brewers I imagine. Only a beginner at designing my recipes and brewing them. After dialling in my brew house efficiency the abv and colour is spot on. Now tempted to pay for the online version as well.
