Bridge Constructor+

Was excited to see a bridge builder game and downloaded immediately. But after launching the game it became obvious this isn’t something I’m going to enjoy. Graphics are horrible 2010 era free assets, touch controls are finicky, and the UI is very confusing. Don’t know if this game gets better with time as I couldn’t stand to try it out for more than 5 minutes.

Is this supposed to be the best version of Bridge Constructor? I've only played Portal Bridge Constructor before, but this game is made by the same group, so... why is it made like this? It feels very outdated and the controls are unwieldy and uncomfortable. No use of haptics anywhere, everything is laggy, it just feels like a very old game ported over to iOS without any thought towards the actual user experience. Far from the experience I would expect from an Apple Arcade title, but even more confusing considering Portal Bridge Constructor is part of the very same franchise. Is this just a basic port of an old entry in the series? Very weird.

The game is nice. There are a lot of games that are similar so this is not something new. It's very annoying to build on a touch. Deleting is very annoying because sometimes it deletes something you did not intend to delete. There are many things that need to be improved with the application of touch.

The game is ok, Graphics are aweful, looks like a game from the 80-90’s Interface is annoying, My finger hide the white dot so I constantly change because of mistakes that are easy to make, Overall I think there are much much better versions of this game.. Try portal bridges

#1 very good, no ads, and is free for all that have apple’s arcade subscription + its fun to see the bridge break and your car or truck just get launched in the air, plus there is hints if your stuck. #2 The bad stuff is that my dad is an Engineer, and most of these things would collapse under the weight of 2 trucks/cars. This means that this game is not really all about building the perfect bridge, it is about guessing what the developer read somewhere in some article… #3 I was thinking.. this game gets pretty boring after about 10-15 minutes and it’s fun watching the cars and stuff fly up when the bridge collapses, but really what you need is like a land mine you can place on the bridge, or make some high tech explosives/trapdoors or something so that you can make it safer if you were to ever add sometimes a bad car would come and you had to test defenses on it. #4 My last and final reason. This game gets pretty boring fast, like real fast compared to most games. Plus the levels are *ahem* sooooooooooo short… like I could literally skip it by just looking at the hints and doing that… maybe consider adding the bad guy trucks and stuff, and make the hints a less very obvious on where to put things. As someone with adhd who can’t sit down and focus this game is really fun. It’s simple and easy to understand.

I’m really loving this game! The mechanics are fun and challenging. The only gripe I have is the level of difficulty, and hint system. You almost need some prior knowledge in load bearing architecture, or access to better reference materials, in order to begin the harder levels. But the hint system only provides options that are either too little or too much. A better solution would be an available list of bridge design types, over a variety of terrain. None would directly provide solutions to the game’s challenges, but would help those of us with no subject matter experience with concepts to expand on. Then again, maybe I’m being educated without realizing it, and will think differently a month or two from now?

My 6 year old started playing this, I love building, not only is this game fun but I think it’s highly educational. While she studies to be an engineer, she’s enjoys playing it. But I didn’t realize there was a water slide mode “Summer World”. To the developers and a designers that build this game, you are awesome and an inspiration to all adults and developers that haven’t forgotten what’s it is like to be a kid.
