BTR AMP Offline Music Player

I had two big issues where A) the sound quality wasn’t as good through this app as it was with the Apple Music app (no equalisers on). There was a noticeable lack of high fidelity on this app. All other music apps I have played songs fine, but this played those same songs with a noticeable lack of high end fidelity. Not as crisp and clear. B) The player actually played the wrong songs. When I clicked on a song the title came up but a different song played. ALL SORTED OUT BY DELETING APP AND REINSTALLING. Probably shouldn’t have happened, but all good now.

Love this app. It’s brilliant for someone like me who doesn’t have Apple Music. I have all my music stored as flac files so I never need to rely on a cloud connection. This app gives the best of everything though so either way it works perfectly. You just put your music files in the app and you’re done. Hi Res is also supported which is great and it even shows you the bitrate of each song so you know what it is. It has a one off payment for the app as well as a yearly subscription which I think is worth it as it ticks so many boxes compared to every other app I’ve tried (and I’ve tried most of them). I chose the one off payment as I know this is now my go to app to play all my music. I don’t consider it too expensive as it’s for life. The app even has a tag editor which I love. This brings me in to one update I would love. Please allow batch editing of tags. This would then be a perfect app! Further options to just play with the interface would be nice but I’m very happy with how it is anyway. Only improvement if possible : Batch editing tags rather than one at a time 🙏 Love it!

Apple seem to be turning their built-in app into a gateway for their subscription music service - something I’m not interested in. Replacement car with poor speakers had me searching for a iPhone player with a good equaliser. Search eventually found BTR Amp and it’s brilliant. For me main strengths (in no particular order): Excellent equaliser A lot of other adjustment controls (track and/or album) Access to in-built music library as well as downloaded files (from many sources in single unified library Fast UI (I consider I have a lot of tracks in my library) Completely reliable (no issues after using for some time now) High functionality, flexible and configurable Helpful responsive developer Siri support (only used whilst cycling) Good use of screen (unlike some apps that waste space and require endless scrolling) Whilst I dislike subscription apps, developers do have to see a return and it’s a low cost subscription and there is a single purchase option available.

I'm always using app for music. But developers need add buttons “disable” and “able” press on Cover When playing for “Pause” or “play”. Thanks!

This is a great app for people who value high resolution audio to hear music with the best possible sound quality. I would like to know if the developer might be able to add support for Amazon Music and Bandcamp. Hope there’s a way to do that. People like me who’ve been online for decades have purchased music on various platforms. Who be helpful to streamline it all in a single app. Thanks so much!

For 10 years my go to player has been Denon Audio. But I'm always interested in what may come along to be better for my needs. Sadly this App is not it. The interface is clutzy. While it has many adjustable features, I don't find that sufficient reason to change.

I love the concept of offline music playing from my iPod and this app makes that possible on my smartphone. I’m looking forward to being able to import music from “iPhone Files”; because BTR AMP currently doesn’t find the offline audio files I have already on my phone. It seems to me that it can only cater to Apple itunez as a source for sound bits and music audio. So please update the app to do a better scan/find.

Download with the hope of listening to music in flight. I can’t get it to play. Despite restarting, and quitting Apple music. Disappointing.

By far the best player I have found. But the best part is the excellent support. Prompt and helpful. The app is kept updated frequently. Very highly recommended.
