BVG Fahrinfo is the official Berlin city transport map and ticket purchasing app, use it as your personal journey planner and buy tickets for all transport in and around the city.
The BVG Fahrinfo app has maps of all transport throughout the city including the bus, train, subway and tram.
How does it work?

Select the best travel route or check the Berlin travel maps to buy a ticket for any bus, train, tram or subway trip using the app just press on the travel option you want to take or your chosen route, then press on the ticket and you are good to go!

Very good!!!!
Failed to connect. Server can not be reached.
Can not bay a ticket. I'm getting message "Failed to connect. Server can not be reached."
Deteriorated recently
What happened? It is extremely slow! Also it would be great to read the news about the route temporary changes in the News section - not to find out about them right in the transport on the way to work. The app used to be very useful, and now it’s useless. And! Could you please provide timetable with real time, not in modus “arrives/departs in X minutes”.

Surprisingly convenient to use
Very glad to have an option to buy tickets via Apple pay.
Flaws:
• The map is rendered with images as opposed to vectors, which consumes much more internet traffic (bad for tourists). • I'm required to provide many useless details (such as birthdate and address) when trying to purchase a ticket, whereas the separate tickets app doesn't have such stupid requirements. • Service messages aren't translated into English. • Too few icons in favorites, at that you can use each icon only once. It would be much better to allow to use a user-selected emoji instead. • No description of favorites on the main screen.
