Cabo Multilingual Messenger

This app is so amazing!! Between the in-person translation to the group threads where you can have a multi-lingual conversation, I’m not sure what could be better!

Super helpful app to communicate with people who speak a different language from you. It automatically translates all my incoming texts to english even though a lot of people in the group chats that i’m in send their messages in other languages. I wish I knew about this app while I was abroad, it would’ve been so handy for listening to the metro announcements that were not broadcasted in English. It has a listening feature that can translate audio as well as a normal text translation tool. It is such a useful way to connect with people, especially abroad because it has this scanning tool that tells you how many other Cabo users are around you and what language they speak. I haven’t seen any other translation app that has a social component like this one. Highly recommend!

Super cool travel app. I downloaded it to have a translation app on my phone when I traveled abroad. Not only does it translate through speech and text, which is all I really needed it for, but it also has a TON of other really cool features like chat, group chat, public group forums (kind of like a global language topic chat reddit), and Scan Near Me to find others using the Cabo app around you. I haven't found anyone nearby yet but I'm guessing that will change as more users come onboard? The Public Chat Group is really cool. You can browse a list of topics, or post one of your own, and people from all over the world can jump into the conversation and chat across language barriers since the app translates bi-directionally. Great idea, Cabo! I used it every day when traveling to get around and decipher what street signs said, restaurant menus, subway signs, ask for directions, get shopping or restaurant recommendations from the locals, speak to the hotel staff, taxi drivers, you name it. The audio pronunciation feature is a nice touch so you can try and speak the phrase yourself, definitely helps you learn the local language. I do wish it had Camera AR text recognition and translation, as well as a log of all my translated texts so I could have a running memory of the trips I take. Having written pronunciation for translations would also be nice to have. Overall, awesome app, if you are a traveler or want to learn a mew language, this app is for you!
