App does not recognise the camera model
Bought the camera through Kia and was installed by them. So far so good. Then tried to connect through the App. No matter what I did it would not connect. I reformatted the sd car, did a reset, deleted app and downloaded again. No joy. Contacted Nextbase and followed instructions from an agent whilst in the car, still no joy. I said was there a problem with the app which he said that was not possible. I was told to go back to my Kia dealership as it was their problem. Kia said it was Nextbase. Ping pong moment. Anyway Kia sent a replacement and today it was fitted. The service engineer said it was now ok as he was able to connect through the app which he showed me and was working and all that needed to be done was for him to connect my phone. We downloaded the app and did what was necessary and Lo and behold. IT DID NOT WORK. The app kept showing a different camera model and there was no way to put in my model. The engineer thought it might be because my phone is a 15. So we tried my husband who has an 8. Still no joy after 2 and a half hours. Conclusion. THE APP DOES NOT WORK as advertised. The engineer is in the process of contacting Nextbase because this needs to be sorted out for any future installation by the dealership. Come on Nextbase sort it out.
