A good concept that disappoints
This app is a good concept by the Portuguese FA. I got it because I wanted to see the Portuguese Women’s National Team UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 qualifiers and the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers. The former were shown on Canal 11, but they are not showing the latter, but if you look at the programme schedule on the app and their website, the Portuguese Women’s National Team qualifiers for the FIFA Women’s World Cup are listed! Today the schedule also included Bosnia-Herzegovina v Russia (live) and Serbia v Turkey (on delay), but no, for all three games what was shown were re-broadcasts of a Portuguese 3rd division football match and a match from the Portuguese Revelation League. It must be pointed out that the app is the Canal 11 International feed and Canal 11 is the feed you get if you use a mobile phone on a Portuguese network provider, because the app doesn’t work with a Portuguese IP address. The app terms and conditions (in Portuguese) does say some broadcasts cannot be shown due to rights restrictions, but there is no programme schedule for Canal 11 International, only for Canal 11, so users of the app don’t know what they can and cannot see. You won’t get the PWNT on this app, you won’t get Brazilian league football on this app and I suspect you won’t get to see Portuguese women’s under-19, under-17 and Futsal sides, nor will you get to see Ronaldo and the boys either despite him being featured in their promotion of the app. I only did the 1€ trial, so I haven’t lost much, but my advice is to try that before you think of subscribing. The video quality is poor! It is a digital TV feed that is directed straight to streaming. It is like watching digital terrestrial TV in 2002 with long blocky lines and god forbid that footballers actually move! Then you’ll see the blocky streaks behind them. And the FPF want £50 a year from me? No, thanks. Pass on my 1€ to Ronaldo for his match fee. And there is no on demand features. Nothing.
