As a host their software is a joke. I think my grandson could have written a better app. Nothing works. I have 6000 trips on Turo and 50 cars. Took a year to test out CarShaire because could not even get a car listed because of glitches and when I finally do they decline a $50 fuel ticket because they say no photos listed. Except they forgot about the 30 emails and texts saying the app will not allow photos to be uploaded lol. Stay clear!

I’ve been in the car sharing/car rental biz for 4 years now and have had my fair share of experience with different apps. Do NOT use carshair, they are not transparent whatsoever. You will get less than HALF the reservation how they calculate their “earnings rate”. If a renter trashes your vehicle you will get denied because they have no photo storage, the app will prompt you to take interior and exterior photos but when my claim was submitted they said I didn’t have any photos. This software in every way is designed to make the developers money and treat hosts/car owners like crap. If you’re going to rent your vehicle out, HIGHLY reccomend using Turo, Getaround or any other app really. These guys are thieves, customer service takes breaks on weekends so if you have an issue on a Friday you will be lucky to get a response by Monday.

Zach wa the best host ever. So nice and helpful I was worried about using Carshair but not anymore If there were a sixth star I would love to give it. Thank you so much for this experience Everything happened fast and graceful .

As a host on multiple platforms as well as doing private rentals this is the worst experience I’ve ever had renting vehicles. To start, their customer support team is subpar and don’t seem knowledgeable about most thing I inquired about. JAYLA is a complete liar who tried to tell me that I didn’t upload pre trip photos at all once the guest brought my vehicle back smoked out, dirty and disgusting. She was caught in her lies ONLY bc I had taken screenshots of me doing everything on that app just because it’s so buggy, once I provided documentation it was then that they reimbursed me but the definitely tried to fight tooth and nail to not. Idk what goes into their screening process but this app is filled with the guests who can’t get approved on Turo, I was literally told this by 2 guests that I met while giving them the keys. 90% (not exaggerating) of the requests are same day last minute requests, this is also annoying. You’re not able to upload pre trip pic’s until two hours before your trip start time. The photo upload tool is ridiculously unnecessary, instead of uploading all pictures at once you have to upload 5 at a times by specific sides of the car… all while the app keeps crashing. You can’t stay logged in because of the app crashes and bugs which makes the process impossible not be frustrated with. All in all stay far away from this company!!!

I surprised my wife with Car SHAiR’s red G Wagon for the weekend. We had the best time and the car was in perfect condition. We’ll definitely be renting again from Car SHAiR. - Tom & Alexa

Force you to show a passport to register with them and you can’t get around it! Can’t even use a bank statement or utility bill etc have a perfectly valid and good drivers license and came to here from Canada where my license is enhanced yet they won’t accept my license.. it’s ridiculous the government accepts my drivers license as valid yet this app won’t?! Incredible the support agents are nice though

By far the worst car rental app experience I’ve ever had. Their fake “concierge team” extremely rude and unprofessional. The app crashes constantly. You can’t call anybody on their customer service team. Only chat. as a start up I understand things happening but this is excessive. They have company policies in place that don’t suit their app errors. Definitely would not recommend anybody waisting their time here.

They don’t have the best interest of car owners.. The types of renters that make requests are more than likely not screened by Car Shair. And I’d be shocked if they had their own car insurance. Someone smoked in my vehicle and I had the invoice to show that I had to have the car serviced - car shair did not care.. They still put the liability on me and said that “if there’s no proof such as ash burns or smoke stains, then we can’t do anything to help”… they made me pay for the smoke removal (which is pretty expensive because it’s a multiple treatment process to get smoke smell out) - AND they wouldn’t allow me to charge the guest the fee that I clearly had in the details stating if smoking occurred in the car, this would be the price for the violation… they completely decapted me and my ability to get what I was rightfully owed for the violation.. The types of clients they rent to, are well below the median income threshhold - so they make sure they protect these low-end drivers so they can keep getting rentals booked to boost their platform .. while in turn giving vehicle owners their a$$3$ to kiss.. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Every car I’ve try booking got canceled or vehicle had maintenance issue. Instead of the app updating and removing the vehicle until the vehicle is actually is ready to be rented. It like false advertisement. You have the hope that you would be able to book the car because you have to reserve 2 hours ahead of time. But it really like a bait cars. You won’t be able to rent the vehicle. The host are constantly canceling. No later if the agent reach out. I’m a person who check reviews and judge based of that. I let my guard down and look the reviews were right. It truly a waste of time.

If you are a HOST, then STAY AWAY from this company!!! The customer caused more than $5,000 damage to the car. The representative of the company first arranged bureaucracy, and then they stopped answering the phone and email altogether. They are trying in every possible way to avoid compensation of damage to the car.
