Cat® Inspect

This app rarely works correctly on the first try. The “updates” do nothing to fix the app. I wish the developers would actually fix the problems with it crashing all time, not syncing inspections, and the compartments/fluid type not loading when submitting samples.

Use this app almost daily for pre and post machine inspections and we love it as a shop. One thing we wish was possible…we would love to be able to edit an inspection after it is submitted. Can’t tell you how many inspections were submitted by our techs and after having it emailed to supervisors for review before sending it to customers, errors and typos were found. There’s is no way to correct them without creating an entirely new inspection. Even then you can’t access the pictures taken on the app. You have to use the original device that took the picture. This can be very frustrating. Please work on adding this feature CAT. Thanks.

The app constantly fails to sync and resets inspections. This app is required to do my job

I use this app for my reports and it is not working

I’ve used this app going on 2 years I use it everyday for work and to do my daily job… Lately I have been having issues with syncing random log outs. Log in expires after 2 mins of using the app.. it’s driving me nuts…. Not only that the dealer account in settings keep disappearing…. Any help?

This APP is full of problems. I get multiple ‘white screen events’ every day. The screen turns solid white and locks up the APP. I must delete & reinstall the APP in order to free the lock up. Of course all ‘in progress inspection’ info is lost, so must start over again. On a daily basis This APP has frozen up at different screens on ‘in progress inspections’ —- each time all entered info was lost. One would think that any entered information or pictures during an ‘in progress inspection’ would be saved as one progresses through the inspection so that if the APP froze up, or cell / internet connection was interrupted the INSPECTION info could be retrieved. Apparently this is not the case. If I did not HAVE to use this APP I WOULD NOT !!! EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING !!! I expected more from CAT. The ‘REPORTS’ PDF load time is painfully long in duration. The amount of time it takes for a ‘SUBMITTED’ inspection to be generated in to a ‘REPORT’ is ridiculous in today’s world — should be almost instantaneously generated. This tells me that there are ‘batching’ issues in the program code. My TD AMERITRADE stock trading APP works flawlessly! The amount of data the TD AMERITRADE APP handles is many multiples of the CAT INSPECT APP and it is provided in REAL TIME, and it has worked for me since 2018 without a hiccup. Why does CAT INSPECT APP (a simple data storage / data retrieval platform) have so many issues?

Performed several inspections only to have them not sync. Deleted app and reinstalled. Lost all records on phone as expected.

Multiple machine inspections and transmission inspection will not sync the inspection. “Inspection failed to sync.”Iv cleared and reopened and still the same. Wifi works just fine and does the same on my phone. You require this done on your transmissions why does it not work?

We use this app for our shop, none of the tablets can connect as of 5/11/20. The internet is clearly working fine, as I write this review from one of the tablets. This issue applies to multiple devices. After you press login, the landing page never loads and you aren’t given an opportunity to enter your credentials.
