This company should ensure that electric vehicles can access the charging points .. they should work closer with the local authorities who provide them access with their lamppost so that the users can get access on a regular basis. They need to ensure that a single bay should be marked and designated to use by Electric Vehicles only.. far too often petrol cars are parked in the bay and therefore the lamppost become defunct.. I have myself tried to speak to the local authorities but I have no power jurisdiction.. you as a company surely must have a contact or local meetings as a service provider.. The App itself does consistently work well and as such I have no problem using it .. I have had to become creative in order to slow charge my vehicle overnight.. I would rate it a 5 star if this problem could be rectified.

Taken over every shell lamp post and increased the prices like mad. App is also shocking.

Trying to charge for the first time with this network at a charger with poor phone signal, and it’s the same old flawed UX putting people off EVs: - When you go to a petrol station, do you have to register your personal details at each one using an online form on the fiddly keyboard on your phone while standing outside in the cold? - Do you have to enter your address, postcode and credit card details the old fashioned 2000s way and navigate the 2FA and safekey process? - Do you have to sit there waving your phone in the air in the rain praying that all the forms to go through? …. No you don’t. At a petrol station, due to superior UX pioneered in the early 1900s, you just turn up and pay. So as an EV user in 2024 why do I have to accept this EV-adoption-destroying form-filling ordeal when I first charge with this network and all the other ones?!?! PLEASE can someone design a UX where the QR code takes me to a screen with ONE BUTTON which is an Apple or Google Pay button. No sign ups. NO forms. One QR scan, one tap, and charge. Until networks figure this out then no wonder newspapers are full of articles telling people not to buy EVs. Every time this happens I get closer to selling mine.

Straight forward, no hassle

Used twice a week over the past few months and it’s always worked. Intuitive and responsive. Other similar chargers I’ve used have been unreliable. It’s a bit pricy outside of night time use (after midnight) but you get what you pay for I guess.

Chargy have made it simple to charge your car. Just plug in, open the app, select the unit you’re plugged into (you’ll find the blue dot showing where you are is exactly on the charging unit), make your payment details available (Apple Pay for me but other options are of course available), and a holding fee of £40 will be taken against your chosen payment method, select “Start Charging” and your done. This takes no more than a minute. When you’re finished simply stop the charge in the app, disconnect, and away you go. It’s cheaper than most, simpler than most and really convenient. This is quicker than filling up a diesel, petrol or hybrid with toxic fuels, so what’s not to like.
