ChatMate for WhatsApp

Sorry for low star rate but this App no-longer works properly. I now have to tap in a code (I really thought yes brill, security) only to discover that I then had to go to iPhone/WhatsApp chat settings/delete device/possibly face detection/then show bar code. I would not mind but this is nearly every time I want to go onto iPad WhatsApp chat. Pls heeelp! X

I have an iPad Pro running iPadOS 16.3.1, the app syncs well, but on occasions when I click on the icon to open it all I get is the initial blank wallpaper and the app freezes. To get it working I have to shut the iPad off and restart it, so far each time I’ve done that the app comes back to life, any chance of a fix?

Great when it works but constantly requires resetting, annoying app

This guy also does a whatsapp app for Mac and I had it but he never answers queries, this app is total crap don’t buy it.

Excellent app really pleased!

This App loses internet connection frequently..My iPhone and Mac work perfectly well with the internet provider, yet this App doesn't.. I have to re-boot the iPad every day. Will revert to the Free Apps I use on other devices... Steer clear....

I wanted an IPad WhatsApp client for a while and decided to try this. It is just like the phone version and syncs easily to the phone.

Slightly surprising that you have to scan a QR code on the iPad with your iPhone which seems wrong, but works. Basically the iPad becomes linked to the phone.

I'm very happy to be able to send and receive WhatsApp messages on my iPad but there isn't full independence. It seems to need the phone connection to function rather than syncing with a central account like FB Messenger does. When WhatsApp can be installed on my iPad in the same way that it's installed on my phone then I will give that final star. Until then we're almost there and four stars is where it's at. Come on WhatsApp...a full iPad version is long overdue!
