After the latest update, my delivery day was changed without my consent, and my province was also changed. I talked with support and they said that my delivery day had always been Monday (no, because I’d always confirm or cancel my box on Sunday nights, which wouldn’t work for a Monday delivery), and that my province had always been QC (I don’t live in QC, and the shipping labels are correct).
It’s so bad the first meal was supposed to be free then they charged 75 bucks for a few ingredients? I’m sorry and the fact that I still CANNOT cancel my subscription is so annoying DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!!! It’s horrible.
Not enough meal variation, Portion sizes are skimpy, along with ingredients that come with like cheese for example is incredibly skimpy. Comes with a ton of waste and bags that are literally impossible to open. Expect you to have “basic” ingredients like milk for example isn’t included or butter. So messes up my meal planning and makes me have to run to the store or eat out which defeats the whole purpose of getting chefs plate. Food isn’t always fresh. Website is difficult to navigate and next to impossible to cancel because it’s impossible to find. When you complain all they do is call and try to give you more offers instead of actually change and listen. Thus proving to me they don’t care that much about customer experience. Boxes are not nicely packaged and some ingredients strewn about with meat on top of it. (Supposed to be in bag)
C’est la pire des boîtes repas : c’est peu cher, mais cela ne vaut pas mieux. Les ingrédients semblent portionnés de façon aléatoire, comme si un enfant sans expérience s’en était chargé. Certaines étapes de préparation sont complètement inutiles, et on y trouve un nombre important de fautes de français. Le nombre de recettes est très limité et il y’a extra pour tout changement. Si vous êtes avec Goodfood ou Hello Fresh restez-y.
I tried to stop my subscription two months ago after moving, what a difficult process in itself. Finally after what I thought was finally being done, to my surprise I just got another charge on my credit card and am being sent three more boxes that I didn’t choose, nor would have as they have allergens in the recipes. What a scam. Be aware clearly your account details are not safe. Now what. I’ll have to cancel my credit card to get away from this company.
Since most recent update I cannot open the app to review my recipes. It tells me to update and the App Store says open the app. Doesn’t work.
My wife has struggled with eating and trying new foods her entire life. The ease and simplicity of chefs plate allowed me to pick meals with her she might like. We’ve since found a groove of meals she likes and this just makes life so much easier knowing at least 2 dinner’s a week are covered. 🙏❤️
Prices have gone up, but quality of recipes and ingredients have gone down. Ingredients in my last few boxes have been damaged - liquids have exploded over all the ingredients, etc. They also keep asking for the same personal information; when I asked where my data went, they didn’t have any idea, so your personal data/privacy is likely not a top priority for Chef’s Plate… probably a hack waiting to happen
They don’t allow you to cancel subscription in the app. You have to call them. In small text they say your subscription is auto renewed. I got a second bill which I didn’t ask for because “I forgot to cancel” my autorenewed subscription. So they are basically never at fault.
when I want to check tracking on delivery orders it never works. Needs more menu variety. Gets expensive once promo runs out and most of the meals I want cost extra. The box always comes late at night on Mondays so they should use more ice packs.
