Chilling: Horror Movies & More

Can’t sleep without listening to chilling, I’ve been a subscriber since it first launched and I’ll never look back, I used to listen to 90% of the authors on YouTube but the controlled ambient just makes this a million times better. I’ve even talked my partner into letting me play my spooky stories every night while we sleep. 1000% recommend subscribing 🙏

I really enjoy this app - I already scour the YouTube for videos of scary stories that I haven’t already heard. It gets harder each time and this app puts them all in one place for me and it’s cool to have the ability to choose the ambiance. I downloaded and then paused it and now I’ve re-downloaded it because I missed it. Listening to these stories helps my anxiety (I’m not sure how 😅)

I’ve been listening to one of the guys on YouTube for months. So glad I found him on chilling. I can now listen without all the ads. I love the background ambience as well.

I fail to see the point of pretending to offer a “free” app only to endlessly pester the user to pay for a subscription service in order to be able to use. While there might be some free content, I couldn’t find it; if I want endless ads, I’ll stick with YouTube. I don’t mind paying for a service, but please, say so up front.

Turned into a cash cow for the narrators. If you want to listen to a full series pay. You want to hear any story on some you have to pay. These are the same narrators that make money elsewhere. Word to the wise or naive of the ap. WE ARE NOT MADE OUT OF MONEY. Just sayin. Sad that this got ruined. Delete.

As much as I want to love this app it’s a bit of a downer that pretty much 90% of the content paywalled. I’m not saying they don’t deserve the money but there’s hardly anything to sample in the first place if someone isn’t sure if they’ll like all the various authors and such. It’s honestly a little sad to click on nearly anything and you can’t enjoy it without paying. I recall getting to listen to plenty at some point but now it’s all locked. Not sure how it happened but I guess it was nice while it lasted.
