Chirp Access

As other users have said, the app is buggy. But the layout is also dumb. The one thing I do with this app every day is open my front door. So why is the button to open the front door buried in a menu? It takes two taps to get to the button that opens my front door. That button should be front and center, or at least I should be able to add it to the list of favorites.

Chirp Access is a convenient app with a solid concept, but the user experience could use improvement. The interface feels outdated and would benefit from a more modern, user-friendly design. Additionally, having to carry our phones everywhere, even to places like the gym or mailbox, can be a hassle. Adding Apple Watch support would significantly enhance convenience and usability for users on the go.

The app has never worked properly since I started using it a year ago . I’m forced to always use the keypad.

It’s great except for 70% of the time when it doesn’t work at all.

Why did your app log me out after I used it 30 seconds ago…? I got stuck in the basement garage of my building with no service until someone helped me. This app is insanely frustrating to use, what was wrong with traditional key fobs??

Terrible user interface, glitchy, crashes all the time, works less than 20% of the time

I will go ahead and get my two biggest complaints out of the way. The first one and currently the most annoying is something another reviewer has mentioned. That is the drop in support of the old widget that could open doors without opening the app. This widget was by far the most useful part of this app and for them to drop support makes zero sense. I don’t know if it’s because of the new version of iOS being out, but it needs to be fixed ASAP. My second complaint lies in the inconsistency of the spaceship feature. The idea of this is really cool and when it works, it’s great. The problem is it only works and as much as I would like to keep this feature on it is a big battery drain which I would happily take on if it worked closer to 90% of the time but as it stands right now this feature just feels incomplete. As for the rest of the app, it is actually quite good. I know a lot of people seem to have a lot of connection issues I for one am able. To connect to pretty much anything when using the app around that 90% of the time. I do agree with other reviewers that communities should still offer an actual fob option Instead of this being the only one due to how unpolished the app is. I can truly see the potential behind this app and they have made great strides, but it seems as though it has been and not many things have improved my only hope is that the developers are looking at the feedback and make adjustments to the key features That we as consumers care the most about.

It’s been a year since I upgraded my phone and the application still hasn’t been updated to layout the buttons on all screens to be properly placed. There are portions of the application that those with iPhones like myself can’t accurately touch the buttons as they’re located outside the safe layout margins.

Our camden community just decided to cancel the keyfobs and move to this app exclusively, without consulting the tenants. Terrible experience and not convenient.
