ChordButter: Song Generator AI

This app is a great idea but needs work. I wish I knew before I was paywalled into using any of the features. After paying for a week to try it out the app straight up broke. I have no audio and for probably an hour I wasnt even able to see that I had received the benefits of the membership.

I like how useable it is on the phone screen. Would like to know if there’s a way to make Melodies. If you could incorporate a melody with ghost notes for the chords it would be perfect.

i sound like such a bot saying that but seriously even with just the free content this app is just so nice and intuitive to use and has seriously helped me to feel motivated to learn more about chords and music theory and what have you. this is wonderful, i’d love to see more features, thanks for the awesome app

I like the idea of this app however i read that I would get a 3 day trial before it started charging me weekly, but I got no trial and was just charged anyway. Luckily it wasnt a lot of money but I was let down by the zero transparency about it. I had to see in my apple subscriptions that there was no trial. The app functions properly, there isnt a midi editor though. So it seems like you would export whatever random thing it creates into a midi file and use another program to access it. The drum complexity is practically just preset drum beats that again would be better if it had a midi editor.

By far the best music app I've used...EVER!!! I've just completed my first song and looking forward to doing more on the app...thank you for creating this...easy to use, navigate and share with others 👊🏾🎹🎸🔥🖤

I wish you could input vocals. That would be amazing but other then that very good. When are you planning to add vocals?

Just found this while looking for something like Klimper to use in my kindergarten classes. Perfect tool for teaching. Might pay a lower lifetime access price for the convenience of being able to create in this simple interface with small children and then export to Logic where I can control the final product. But $69.99 is a high price for that given the lack of need for it when using it personally and professionally as I have the skills to do all this without the bumpers. But any producer who doesn't already have that skill level or just wants really fast .mid creation with high controls, yeah, this is for you!

I really appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into creating the UX of this app. It’s beautifully designed and intuitive. If you’re looking for an app to make quality music on the phone, this is pretty great - especially if you’re a beginner. For me, I’m just so used to my desktop workflow on Ableton that I can’t really get comfortable with it, although I find it delightful. So it’s not for me - but that’s personal preference because the app is still fantastic.
