Classic FM

Not bad, but sometimes crashes on iPad 3. Feature request: must have an auto-updating playlist with recent compositions somewhere on the page.

I love this and it is so smooth at like 7-10 and allot of other shifts! But the 7-10 one sticks out most to me ! But they is one little bug It keeps loading as if it was going to go on but then Automatically swipes up and down at the same time :( And I have to power off my phone in order to fix it I don’t know if It is just because I have a Laggy old iPhone 11 or what please help me :( -Isabelle

01/01/2024 and my trusted dab radio is silent! So I had to resort to downloading this app onto my iPad and iPhone. Ok so far, except for a few niggles, the sound is very tinny, and there is no way I can adjust it. Usually I have no problems with the sound quality on my iPad, but I desperately want a softer tone, please ! Also the frequent dropping out is annoying, but I guess there’s nothing you can do about that?

It would be fantastic if we could have ClassicFm ad free. The idea has been tested back in 2012 and it didn’t work out for the company for some reason. 14 years later, times have changed because of internet availability (prices, devices, etc), I definitely would pay £5 to avoid mood-spoilers that ads are. Please, please, please!

Until release 116.3 this was a great app. Then came the “improvements”, releases 117 and 118. Now it does not show what is being played. It shows what you have missed instead. Also Up Next is blank. To add insult to injury there is no DAB+ in my area, or many others. OK, other ways to listen but not when I am away from home. Getting to be like BT making changes without thinking them through. No changes made since posting the above a few hours ago. Working now as it used to a month or so ago. Wonders of technology.

This used to be my most favourite app. Now… I never use it!! I was one about the MUSIC now it is about the presenters, the adverts and sales and OTHER stations. Nothing of any value about what is playing! If you try to find somewhere to comment then good luck. I’m surprised it even gets 3* now.

So the day finally came when the classic fm app demands that I create an account. Well, I will not be doing that. I will revert to listening on an FM radio.

I set it to sleep after 60 minutes say and after a few minutes it always stops playing. So I have to set it again. Pain in the ****. Adverts are the same ones over and over. Ffs. Cremation. Wills. Life insurance. Pet care when you’re dead. Hugy Fugy cruises. Usually asleep before the actual music starts. And who wants violins at midnight?
