Lake of care
When spending so much money on a sauna one would expect an app that worked. This is not the case. This app fails over and over. Locks up and has constant connection issues. Please fix this, it’s been years now.

The worst! Two plus weeks of correspondence and absolutely no resolution.
I have dealt with some terrible apps before but this one; oh my! It seems impossible to get past the sign up page. It’s one continuous loop of frustration. I know if the sauna ever stops getting hot all I have to do is try to use the app and I will be boiling in no time. Seriously if this app is a reflection of the actual sauna it’s time for a refund. Free is too much to pay for this app. If it’s anything it’s a email collection portal so they can sell your information to others. Save your self the headaches and the trauma: Do not download this app.
It works when it wants to, which is almost never. Very upsetting.
Don’t buy this sauna. It’s an utter scam. The Bluetooth has never worked and it’s unlikely it ever will. Buy a different brand that actually has functionality. They tell you they’re working on it and it’s a lie. It never has. Why even create the app if it’s never going to work?
This is super outdated. The app only works on one orientation, is clunky, glitchy and the instructions are all over the place. Relative to the price of the sauna, you’d imagine at least a functional app
Not only does the app not connect, the setup of this 20-year-old technology-based solution expects the customer to be able to provide a 2.4ghz WiFi connection in order to complete the setup. Clearly Clearlight has built their solution on a bin of outdated technology pieces, and a prayer that no one will actually try and use it. The sales “promises” are lies - period. Caveat emptor!
As others have clearly voiced here and elsewhere, Clearlight is about one thing and one thing only; getting your cash and forgetting you exist. Our $9k sauna arrives defective. Solution: send ME parts and instructions to remove the roof and dig into electronics to replace the power supply. Or wait for weeks or longer for them to locate a third party to travel. This on a brand new sauna. Why would we possibly think their app would be any different? This elementary excuse does not even provide basic functionality. Zero stars to this app and this company.
Could not be more disappointed in this app. You have a beautiful product in this sauna (Sanctuary 3). Having a solid application with good user experience is bare minimum in this day and age. Please fix this atrocity. Connecting errors out, login doesn’t work, reset password doesn’t work and the application can’t find my sauna.
It’s actually remarkable how bad this app is. It is far and away the worst “smart device” app I have downloaded since such devices arrived earlier this century. It would be comical were it not a component of a larger ~$9k investment. Since it is, however, it’s mostly infuriating, but also worrying that corners were cut in other ways with the final product, which I sit nude in every morning no less. Fingers crossed they fear litigation enough to approach functional safety with more seriousness than they did wireless integration. The first keyhole into the impending user hellscape is the forced landscape mode, as though it’s a novelty app from 2009, displayed cutely alongside iBeer or perhaps Pocket God on your homescreen. You cannot see the field you are typing in when logging in. You cannot copy/paste in either of the login fields. Your keychain will not be cued to remember the password for you. The security parameters for password changes, (which you surely will use within the first 24 hours unless “password” is your password), are weak and worrisome. All of this is a moot point, however, since you cannot actually setup a new sauna and begin to use the app for what is intended (something I cannot begin to imagine). That is unless you go into the advanced settings of your router and manually disable your 5ghz channel…which you actually cannot do on many modern routers (ours for example). You can only hide it, if you’re lucky. Good news, though, they addressed this issue with an upda—- no a nearly identical app that just says “5ghz” in the name. I stumbled onto this ugly twin with dumb “luck” if you can call it that. Thankfully it fixed everyth— just kidding it doesn’t work either. It relied on Bluetooth for initial connection vs 2.4ghz, and the device is more elusive than Predator on a foggy day when trying to connect. I’ve chosen to believe that this app was developed by a lovely blind 15 year old relative of a Jacuzzi™ executive with a passion for coding, who will never have this review read to them. This young, aspiring, fictional developer’s happiness is the only moral justification to the app’s existence.
