Best app in the banking business
The ladies at the Flatwoods, WV branch are THE BEST. And I never dreamed that I would be doing my banking electronically or online, but I love it!! So convenient and EASY to use! God Bless! 🙏👍
I’m dyslexic so I used to use the City National portal consistently because I could not only verify that I had entered the correct amounts in my transaction book but also do a bank reconciliation. This app is very easy to use and functions very well, except for the balance. I like that it shows everything that’s going on, and all the transactions and so forth, which is extremely useful to me. However, the balance is not a reflection of those transactions, as they appear. There have been times when I’ve actually had to call the bank to get my balance. To me, that defeats the purpose of having the app at all. Further, even they can’t use it for that purpose and have to go to another source. If you can’t reconcile the total of all your bank transactions then all it is, is a list of those transactions. This is useful to me personally, but not much value to the non-dyslexic. If the balance shown is always “wrong”, unlike it was BEFORE this “update”, the best value of the app is gone. Apparently, I’m not alone in this opinion, either. I’ve heard this from many other customers.
The folks are so willing to help with any issue I have. Been with this bank many years and I plan to stay with it!
Don’t like new app
If a bank has a poorly set up website I will not use that bank. That has been my rule since I moved out on my own and I’ve quit banks over it. This website is sufficient.

Can no longer access this app because they keep updating so that I have to constantly get new phones.
My account # was changed when my local bank was bought by City. I was told my payees would transfer. They did not! I have talked with a City Bank rep 4+ times about this. I was assured over and over this issue would be solved by IT professionals. It was not. Finally I said, I’ll just re-enter my payees. I have tried to re-enter over and over since yesterday. I enter all the information required and when I hit submit it reads “oops something went wrong on our end”. I have even tried several payees! This is ridiculous! My bills need to be paid and I am very unhappy with the Citizens Commerce to City Bank transfer. I was just asked if I wanted to update my review!!! Well, I have had 3 people work on this matter with no success. After talking with the last person, who assured me it would be resolved, I have yet to hear back from her after again promising City was on this matter. This was over 2 weeks ago. I have not heard back nor has the issue been fixed. Maybe it just can’t be fixed. Asking me to call a # to obtain help is a joke. I have made numerous phone calls about this. I am thinking my time is not important to City National Bank.
