Cortex Camera

I have an iPhone12 pro and taking a photo WITHOUT this software works better than using cortex. I’ve tried all the manual settings in the app and still can’t get any improvement. I think the technology improvements have made this app irrelevant. This app should be removed from the App Store as it’s a waste of peoples money

This app was fantastic when I first started using it. Now it is failing and needs attention and an update. The view is blurry and the resulting image is nothing close to the quality of first pictures I took a few months ago. This app needs some TLC from the developer ASAP. It’s such a great app. I’d hate to see it fade into obscurity. Originally 5 star rating, now two stars only.

Can’t see any big difference. Multi frame shots are shakey and no proper setting options to tinker with.

I am yet to get a decent photo out of this app. My iPhone takes better low light pictures without it. I bought it to improve taking shots of people at social events at night. Don't waste your money.

I have compared half a dozen so called night camera apps and Cortex Camera is absolutely miles ahead of competition. The clarity and how much light is captured is just astounding.

Such a great app. Simply does what it says and you can really take some very high quality photos. It’s great! However, I find it hard to keep the app on my phone because the look of the icon is a bit of a mish mash with the iOS design. Any chance of an updated colour design?

Gave it a try on nighttime scenes and was surprised at the terrific motion blur and light trails that the multi combined shots produced. I have a photo of water feature in Kuala Lumpur you would swear was tripod slow shutter photo but was produced hand held with a two year old iPhone and this app.

I’ve tried and reviewed many apps that claim to improve the image quality. In a side by side test cortex is the best. Miles ahead of the built in camera app. Having said that it’s best for tripod work. However if you have a steady hand you can also get great noise free shots handheld The additions of also being able to set iso, shutter or exposure compensation is also great but neatly hidden away if you don’t need. Testing against other well known apps this app can produce better shots with its stacking technique than even the best RAW apps The only draw back is the images are a little soft sometimes but you can easily sharpen later in your favourite app. Also the auto white is often vastly different if you choose to stack raw pics or video option in settings. My preference for best image is stacking raw

It is a great camera app, being able to take photos like this really makes anything look great (provided u can hold it still enough) and being able to adjust things yourself is even better. I would like to see an updated GUI though, as it isn't really the nicest thing to look at
